It gives me great pleasure to take part in the formal opening of the Islamabad Serena Hotel today, although, as some of you know, it has been open to the public since the end of last year.
I should like to begin by expressing to President and Begum Musharraf the gratitude of everyone connected with this endeavour, including myself, for accepting our invitation to be present on this happy day.

In 1957, the Aga Khan succeeded his grandfather as the leader of the Ismailis. He is the 49th Imam of a community estimated at between 12 and 15 million believers living in 25 countries. Prince Karim Al-Husseini (his birth name) created the Aga Khan Development network (AKDN), committed to development in the world, regardless of whether there is a community in the country in question. Grand Croix of the Legion of Honour, this discreet man, aged 82 years old, welcomed us for one of his rare French interviews in his property in Gouvieux, Oise.

Located in the Phisal Banda suburb of Santosh Nagar, Paigah Tombs are the final resting place of erstwhile Hyderabad State’s nobility -- the Paigahs.
HYDERABAD: The Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) along with the State government has also taken up the much-needed conservation works at the Paigah Tombs. As of now the documentation works have been started by the AKTC, after which they will take up the actual restoration works.

AGA KHAN FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED IN PORTUGAL
Posted March 3rd, 2019 by librarian-ldThe Aga Khan Foundation, which is involved in the fields of health care, education and rural development, chiefly in Asia and Africa, has now been registered in Portugal, Mowlana Hazar Imam announced during His Silver Jubilee Visit to that country in February, 1983.
The Foundation has branches and affiliates in Kenya, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Britain, Canada and the United States.

I am proud indeed to be your guest today and to be the honoured recipient of the key to the city of Dacca. Since I last visited Dacca nearly eight years ago, your city has visibly grown in stature, in beauty and in cleanliness. I congratulate the Municipal Authorities for the work they are doing and I would like to express my particular thanks to them and to the Police for making it possible to travel so easily to the outskirts of the city and through the busiest streets.
