Last week, Prince Hussain delivered a keynote speech to students, partners, and fellow conservationists for ‘Our Living Ocean,’ in partnership with @wwf & @graduateinstitute in Geneva.

The event focused on solutions for a productive and resilient ocean, sustaining people and nature.

It is a pleasure for me to join you today for the reopening of this Chapel.

Prince Aly Muhammad attended the September 7, 2025, reopening ceremony for the Chapel of Our Lady of Affliction in Branzelo, Portugal, a structure rebuilt after being damaged by 2024 wildfires. The chapel's restoration was a collaborative effort between the Ismaili Imamat, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, local authorities, and the Catholic Church, symbolizing interfaith solidarity and strengthening community ties.

During the ceremony, the Aga Khan Foundation and Gondomar municipality signed a protocol to advance local social and community initiatives.

Darkhana in Kampala was the site of a milestone moment on 12 September 2025, as Mawlana Hazar Imam graced the Jamat in Uganda with didar.

Mawlana Hazar Imam conveyed guidance and blessings to the Jamat across the world, and expressed thanks to volunteers for their efforts to organise the visit. He showered blessings on the Jamat and reminded us of his immense love and affection. Hazar Imam later granted a separate mulaqat to young members of the Jamat at Kololo Jamatkhana in Kampala.

The award was first presented in Central Asia in 1992 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

In a world where appearances often overshadow purpose, Princess Yasmin Aga Khan stands out for her unwavering dedication. The daughter of Hollywood icon Rita Hayworth and Prince Aly Khan, she has spent over four decades championing the fight against Alzheimer’s, driven by her mother’s diagnosis in 1981. Through her work with the Alzheimer’s Association and initiatives like the Rita Hayworth Gala, she has transformed personal experience into a powerful global mission.

Our beloved 50th Holy Imam Shah Rahim arrived in Nairobi on Monday August 25th 2025. He was greeted by Kenya Government officials and dignitaries from the Ismaili community. Hundreds of other Ismaili community members were also present at the airport to welcome Hazar Imam who had arrived to grant Holy Didar to Kenya Jamat. This was Hazar Imam's first visit to Kenya after His inauguration as our 50th Imam.

LISBON: His Highness the Aga Khan has expressed heartfelt sympathy for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan following the recent flash floods and related disasters that have caused widespread devastation across the region.

In a letter addressed to the government, His Highness conveyed condolences over the tragic loss of lives, including volunteers near Gilgit who were working to restore water-supply infrastructure in their communities. “I pray that their souls may rest in eternal peace, and that the bereaved families may have the strength to bear their immense loss,” he wrote.

Global Encounters Festival held in Dubai, UAE

Your Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Excellencies, Athletes and Artists, Ladies and Gentlemen.
That we are here today was not a given. Thousands have offered their time, expended their effort and have sacrificed weeks and months to put this festival together.

The Global Encounters Festival 2025, organized by the Ismaili Muslim community, will be held in Dubai from July 20-27, according to the.ismaili. The festival aims to unite the Jamat through experiences that celebrate their shared identity, global presence, and individual talents. It will feature events for all ages, including GE Spark for younger attendees and opportunities for youth to participate in international camps and internships.

The festival was attended by thousands of athletes and spectators from around the globe.

The Aga Khan Museum was honoured to welcome distinguished guests this week to celebrate the opening of As the Sun Appears from Beyond: Twenty Years of the Al Burda Award, a landmark exhibition illuminating two decades of contemporary Islamic art.

Co-curated by Dr Ulrike Al-Khamis, Director and CEO of the Aga Khan Museum, and Al Burda Fellows Fatma Mahmoud, Sara bin Safwan and Shaikha Al Zaabi, the exhibition bridges historic and modern artistic expressions, exploring themes of light, spirituality and creativity through calligraphy, ornamentation, poetry, contemporary paintings and more.

A homebred for Aga Khan Studs, four year-old Wootton Bassett stallion colt Zabiari missed virtually his entire three year-old season in which he had just one start, but is now making up for lost time and won the Group III Prix Betrand du Breuil (1600m) at Chantilly overnight.

A Group winner at two, Zabiari has had three runs this year for Francis-Henri Graffard and won all of them showing an impressive turn of foot for Michael Barzalona to charge home and win by a neck.

Zabiari has five wins and two seconds from nine starts with the promise of more to come.
