Posted August 11th, 2024 by librarian-hdPrince Rahim represented Mawlana Hazar Imam at the Coronation ceremony in London earlier today as Charles III and Camilla were crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Faith leaders, heads of state, and dignitaries from across the world were present to witness the ceremony, full of colour and symbolism.
Among the esteemed guests was Prince Rahim, who attended at the request of Mawlana Hazar Imam, in continuation of a historic tradition — in 1937, Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah attended the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Posted June 28th, 2024 by librarian-hdCalandagan dominated the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes (2400m) on Friday, becoming the first French-trained winner at Royal Ascot since Watch Me in the 2019 Coronation Stakes.
Like Watch Me, Calandagan was sent over by Francis-Henri Graffard, who trains the son of Gleneagles for his owner/breeder HH The Aga Khan.
With an outside draw in 13, Stephane Pasquier rode a quiet race on Calandagan. The partnership came wide in the straight and powered away to win by six lengths, with Space Legend and Royal Supremacy filling the places.

The King and Queen are set to present trophies to the winners in the feature race of the week, the Gold Cup. The couple, who took on Queen Elizabeth II’s racing horses, have a thoroughbred entered in the King George V Stakes and will be hoping for their first Royal Ascot win of 2024.

Tahiyra wins the Royal Ascot Coronation Stakes 2023-06-23
The Group I Coronation Stakes (1m) for three year-old fillies delivered another Group I winner at the meeting for champion French stallion Siyouni with his star filly Tahiyra backing up the form of her last start win in the Irish 1000 Guineas.
A homebred for the Aga Khan trained by Dermot Weld, Tahiyra was ridden by Chris Hayes and won by a length over Kingman filly Remarquee with third place going to another Kingman filly Sounds of Heaven, part-owned by her Australian breeder John Camilleri.

The Aga Khan-owned daughter of Siyouni had been vastly impressive when taking the Moyglare on her last run in September.
However, her trainer felt that she would have benefitted from an extra couple of weeks and having made a tardy start from the stalls in the mile fillies’ Classic, she had plenty of ground to make up.
