Posted September 4th, 2020 by librarian-hdStudents at Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa have achieved record-breaking results in this year’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) amid the challenging Covid-19 learning period.
Top scorers have received admission call-ups to a number of prestigious universities including Yale and Cambridge. The students have further been offered over $7 million (Sh800 million) in university scholarships. The students attributed their success to hard work.

Posted August 26th, 2020 by librarian-hdAccording to the auction house, visionaries, and ahead of their time, Prince Sadruddin and Princess Catherine Aga Khan have been the discreet patrons of many major philanthropic projects, aimed at preserving cultural and natural sites, from Egyptian temples to the Alps.
The remarkable private collection of Sadruddin Aga Khan and his wife, will head to auction on October 1, 2020, global auction house Christie’s announced. The couple are the son and daughter-in-law of Aga Khan III, president of the All-India Muslim League during India’s pre-Independence era.

HBL reports almost 14 times profit per share (AKFED subsidiary) 2020-07-24
Posted August 19th, 2020 by librarian-hdAmid variable interest rates, the Habib Bank Limited reported a net profit of Rs11 billion or Rs7.53 per share for the quarter ending June 2020, which is 13.8 times of Rs750 million or Rs0.44 per share it earned in the same quarter of the previous year, the company’s financial results revealed Friday.
The largest bank of the country saw its net interest income (NII) increase by 44% to Rs35 billion between April and June 2020, compared to Rs24 billion for the same quarter of the previous year.

When I told the Federal Council of the Ismaili Community in India, that I would be visiting in this year, they said to Me, “certainly you never come to India”, and yet this is the fifth time in ten years and I do not believe I have visited any other area more often than India in the last ten years. I just want to get the record straight.
