The Aga Khan University’s Medical College has been awarded the AMEE (Association for Medical Education Europe) 2023 Stellar Award at an award ceremony in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

The Aga Khan University’s Hayat mobile application has been recognised for its novelty and innovativeness at the international Commonwealth Digital Health Awards (CWDHA) 2022. The app won the top prize for the Maternal and Neonatal Health category at the 5th CWDHA for demonstrating improvements in reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) care services.

The Swiss Ambassador to Pakistan and Afghanistan Bénédict de Cerjat visited the academic and health care facilities at the Aga Khan University in Karachi.

During the conversations with AKU President Dr Sulaiman Shahabuddin and other University leaders, he talked about Switzerland’s strong bilateral relationships with Pakistan.

“I am pleased to learn that the Aga Khan University’s programmes and facilities are accredited by prestigious international bodies like Advance HE, Joint Commission International, and the College of American Pathologists,” said Ambassador Cerjat.

During His 1970 visit to Pakistan Hazar Imam performed the opening ceremony of the Prince Aly Boys' Academy in Karachi, Pakistan.

The work on establishing the Prince Aly Boys' Academy started in 1960 by Ismaili volunteers of the Ismailia Youth Services (I.Y.S) on the same pattern as the Mohammadi Girls' Academy .

Today September 6th, 2021 The New Private Wing Complex known as the Princess Zahra Pavilion was opened at The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. Princess Zahra delivered remotely the address at a special ceremony which was hosted by President Firoz Rassul and various donors

Let me here and now publicly reaffirm the Ismailia Community's decision to build for Karachi a really first class Medical and Nurses' Training College, attached to the finest hospital which modern science can devise.

Eight Pakistani nurses and midwives have been honoured in the global 100 Outstanding Women Nurse and Midwife Leaders 2020 list.

The healthcare workers have been acknowledged by Women in Global Health (WGH), which collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations Population Fund, Nursing Now, International Council of Nurses and International Confederation of Midwives on the list.

All eight nurses and midwives from Pakistan are faculty or alumni of the Aga Khan University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, SONAM.

The Aga Khan University has launched a new mobile application, ‘CoronaCheck’, enabling people to safely evaluate coronavirus symptoms with an in-home screening tool of the application.

According to an official statement, the app uses an interactive chatbot, driven by artificial intelligence, which allows users to understand their symptoms and recognise whether they may have contracted COVID-19 or not. With the app providing help promptly, it also aims to identify potential coronavirus carriers and limit their risk of transmission.

Let me first say how grateful I am for your invitation to speak to this distinguished audience in Karachi today and for your kind words about my family and about myself.

Perhaps I should begin by defining what I mean by the phrase “Nation States”. First it is the land area or areas over which a single government exercises authority in terms of internal administration and external defense and whose frontiers are recognized, legally or de facto, by other nation states.

The Aga Khan University (AKU) has been placed among the top 100 universities for clinical medicine and the top 200 for public health in the world.

The rankings were published by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as ShanghaiRanking, which is an annual publication of worldwide university rankings.

In ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019, AKU is the only Pakistani university featured among the top 500 institutes for clinical medicine and public health.

Patients suffering from gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), metastatic renal cell carcinoma (MRCC) and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET) will benefit from the partnership. The announcement came during an official signing ceremony held at the University Hospital premises in Karachi.
