ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi said Prince Karim Aga Khan’s vision and untiring efforts in promoting global peace, inter-faith dialogue, cultural diversity and pluralism had contributed towards the development and uplift of economically disadvantaged communities across the world.

He said this in a meeting with President of the Aga Khan Council for Pakistan Hafiz Sherali who called on him to deliver a letter from Prince Karim Aga Khan.

KARACHI: With its failure to properly run the newly established 50 English medium schools with Cambridge International Examination (CIE) system in the province, the Sindh government is likely to handover these schools to the Aga Khan Board to ensure quality education to the students, it was learnt on Thursday.

In this regard, an initial consultation has been made while the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sindh government and Aga Khan Board will be signed very soon after which the control of these CIE schools is to be given to Aga Khan Board, sources told Pakistan Today.

Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), Aga Khan University and a Pakistani multinational pharmaceutical company on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support startups by young entrepreneurs that solve today's challenges in healthcare and medical education. The MoU was signed by Firoz Rasul, the AKU president and Dr. Zakiuddin Ahmed, OPEN (Karachi Chapter) president, who is also director of the PharmEvo's Digital Health and Strategic Projects.

So the Hakeem made his entry into the Royal Kingdom of the Mughals. Hakeem Ilm Ud Din Ansari figured out the cause of disease and cured it by making the Queen walk on burning sand.

The Aga Khan University launched on Thursday a landmark study which found that AKU has an annual economic impact in Pakistan of Rs103 billion, or $ 1 billion, and supports 42,000 jobs, including 33,000 in Sindh.

Aga Khan University on Friday received grants amounting to USD144,000 to boost innovative research to assist women living with Metastatic breast cancer.

The grant worth USD 25000 from Seeding Progress and Resources for the Cancer Community (SPARC) Metastatic Breast Cancer Challenge was received by the Head of Medical Oncology Division at Agakhan University, Dr. Asim Shaikh.

The grant was given as a result of a partnership between the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and Pfizer Oncology.

This Jamat Khana has its history of as the one of the most first Jamat Khanas ever build in the region specially in Chitral Valley.
Currently the Jamat Khana is composed of about a population of 300 Ismailis.
The Jamat Khana building is located at an elevated place giving a beautiful view of four surrounding villages.
Most importantly the building of the Jamat Khana is located in such a place to be used as shelter and safety for the population in any emergency/disaster situation.
