Prince Aga Khan’s Central Education Board for Pakistan. The project when completed would cost about Rs. 63 lacs, a major portion of which will be donated by His Royal Highness.)

(The Ismailia Youth Services Karachi have initiated many projects for the advancement of the community. In Karachi one of these has been the Muhammedi Girls’Academy. Recently a magnificent building has been constructed in the lush green surroundings at Malir on the Karachi-Hyderabad highway.

At the conclusion of this tour, he gave an interview to the Radio Pakistan’s representative and explained how it is possible to live a modern life and at the same time a religious life.

On 9th October 1960 His Royal Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan opened a colloquium on the Present day Students Problems’ sponsored by the Punjab University Student’s Union at Lahore in Pakistan. On that occasion he announced award of 5 post-graduate scholarships for one year study in Europe or the Middle East.

Mr. Vice-Chancellor, Members of the Karachi University Syndicate and Senate, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today’s occasion for me is one of both happiness and sadness. Happiness because I welcome and am very thankful for the chance to meet you to see your fine campus and to have the honour of laying the foundation stone of your new library.

On lst October 1960, His Royal Highness laid the foundation stone of the Reading Room building of Prince Aga Khan Students' Union, Kharadhar, Karachi. This institution which was established in 1932, is doing very useful work by providing fees and books to deserving students. The honorary workers of the Union, with great efforts and in details, carried out an educational survey of their area in order to determine the needs and requirements of Ismaili Students. They have also underway a scheme to start a mass educational centre.

A scheme of potable drinking water for Dolomuch colony and Seenlasht was inaugurated at Seenlasht. Additional Deputy Commissioner Chitral Minhasuddin was chief guest on the occasion who unveiled plaque of the project.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Dec, 2018 ) :A new anatomy and surgical skills lab, introducing the latest available learning aids was opened at The Aga Khan University Medical College here Friday.

According to AKU officials the facility to be functional in an enlarged space will help students to learn about the human body structure, and enable residents, practicing physicians along with surgeons to rehearse difficult and complicated surgical procedures before performing them on real patients.

29 November 2018 - Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa Aga Khan travelled to Pakistan for a six-day working visit in late October 2018, which included stops in several districts of Gilgit-Baltistan as well as in Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, along with the capital city of Islamabad and the southern city of Karachi. During their visit, Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa examined approaches to poverty alleviation and development, and visited a number of AKDN institutions and projects aimed at improving quality of life.
