Foundation stone laid for Tanzanian cancer care centre, 1.7m to benefit 2022-04-10
2022, April 13 - 16:16 — librarian-hdDar es Salaam, Tanzania, 10 April 2022 – The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam laid the foundation stone for its state-of-the-art cancer care centre, which will serve as a key hub for the innovative Tanzania Comprehensive Cancer Project (TCCP). The Project, launched by the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) in January 2020, has the goal of reducing cancer morbidity and mortality in Dar es Salaam and Mwanza.

Greek President visits Ismaili Centre, Lisbon 2022-04-03
2022, April 7 - 16:35 — librarian-hdThe President of Greece, Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou, visited the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon, during her three-day trip to Portugal last week. She was welcomed to the Centre by Princess Zahra and Prince Hussain.
At the Ismaili Centre, President Sakellaropoulou also met with Portugal’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Francisco André, and leaders of the Jamat and AKDN. Ms Sakellaropoulou, the first woman to be elected President of Greece, has been in office since March 2020.

For the first time, the traditional YCCS event was held online, with a live stream from the Azzurra Lounge at the Club's Porto Cervo headquarters which, in addition to members, was open to all journalists, guests and supporters wishing to take part. A recording of the event will remain available on the YCCS YouTube channel.
