LONDON - In her first solo British exhibition, “At the Corner of a Dream,” Egyptian activist Bahia Shehab voiced powerful messages on a variety of themes presented through five short videos reflecting on Arab revolts.

The videos showcased at London’s Aga Khan Centre are digital artworks produced this year. They follow on the poetry murals inspired by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish that Shehab painted in Cairo, New York, Beirut and Marrakech, as well as the Greek island of Kefalonia.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for a special event on Wednesday, ahead of their royal tour of Pakistan.
William and Kate, both 37, attended a reception hosted by His Highness The Aga Khan at the Aga Khan Centre in King's Cross, London. The couple met with a range of people from Pakistan at the event, including community leaders, those involved in British and Pakistani business, and key figures within the Diaspora community, including musicians, chefs and artists.

MEMBERS of the Ismaili community gathered last week for the launch of the Seeing Through Babel exhibition, the first public exhibit of its kind at the South Kensington centre in London.

Prince Amyn, the Aga Khan’s brother, officially opened the exhibition last Thursday (4) at the Centre’s newly reopened Zamana Space.

Seeing Through Babel is a solo exhibition by a Syrian-Armenian artist, Kevork Mourad.

Hazar Imam attended Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey, London today March 11, 2019. In attendance also were dignitaries from all Commonwealth countries and the British Royal Family. Hazar Imam's family also attended including Princess Zahra, Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa.

The Commonwealth represents 53 countries and almost 2.4 billion people and 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth, enabling cooperation towards social, political and economic development.

London, March 13 The Aga Khan, the 49th hereditary Imam of the Ismaili sect of Shia Muslims, has been named the Global Founding Patron of the Prince of Wales's charitable trust.

The Aga Khan, who also heads the Aga Khan Development Network, will now support the delivery of the work of The Prince's Trust in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and through local partners in India, Jordan, Pakistan, Malta, Barbados and Greece, the trust said in a statement.

According to a UK government statement issued here, Foreign Office Minister for Human Rights Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon attended the official opening of the new Aga Khan Centre in King's Cross today (26 June) as part of the Diamond Jubilee tour of His Highness the Aga Khan.

Hazar Imam today opened the Aga Khan Centre in London, England. The Prince of Wales Prince Charles also joined Hazar Imam in the opening of this historic centre which be the headquarters of various Aga Khan Institutions in the U.K.

The Aga Khan Centre in King’s Cross, designed by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki, will have six landscaped open spaces inspired by different Muslim cultures from around the world.

There will also be four other havens of calm surrounding the ten-storey building, in what is the heart of one of London’s biggest regeneration districts.
