H.H. The Aga Khan celebrated his 80th birthday with his family on 13th December 2016. On 16th December, the LIF invited Mowlana Hazar Imam to a birthday party in Aiglemont. members of the Noorani family also attended: Prince Amyn, Prince Rahim, Princess Salwa, Prince Irfan, Princess Zahra.and Prince Hussain were in attendance.

A short video of the Concert and the Imam cutting the cake, was shown to the world Jamat .

On that occasion, Mowlana Hazar Imam said:

US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke Saturday of the need for the world to stand firm against authoritarian populism and for the rule of law as he received France's highest decoration.

At the onset of his remarks, Secretary Kerry paid tribute to His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan for being an influential champion for peace around the world.

Vazirabad won the first race - the Qatar Prix de Chaudenay. Candariliya followed with another impressive come-from-behind win in the 3rd race - the Qatar Prix de Royallieu. Princess Zahra with Princess Sara accepted both the winner's prizes. Christophe Soumillon was the jockey in both races

Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa have kindly shared photographs of Prince Irfan, their first child, who is pictured with his parents and grandfather, Mawlana Hazar Imam.

News of the birth of Prince Irfan has been greeted with immense joy by the worldwide Jamat. Jamati leaders have sent messages of congratulations to the family with prayers for the Prince’s long life and wellbeing.

Aiglemont, France, 4 March 2015 - His Highness the Aga Khan today received His Excellency Gordon Campbell, who has been recently appointed as the Representative of the Government of Canada to the Ismaili Imamat. Mr. Campbell is a former premier of British Columbia and Canada’s current High Commissioner in London.
Campbell was recently appointed by the Government of Canada as the country’s representative to the Ismaili Imamat and also serves as Canada’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

Today February 15 marks the birthday of our beloved Mata Salamat Om Habibeh Aga Khan wife our 48th Imam Shah Sultan Muhammad Shah. They were married in Geneva on October 9th, 1944 under her maiden name Yvette Blanche Labrousse.
In His Last Will, Imam Sultan mentioned that "I desire that my successor shall during the first seven of his Imamat be guided on question of general Imamat policy by my said wife Yvette called Yve Blanche Labrousse..."

2014, October 4: Longchamps, Paris, France - H.H. The Aga Khan attended the Prix de Royallieu (Groupe II) and the Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein at the Hippodrome de Longchamp today Saturday. He was accompanied by Princess Zahra and her daughter Princess Sarah as well as Princess Salwa. Prince Amyn Mohammed also attended the race on Sunday October 5th. H.H. His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan sent a Holy Talika (special communication to His Jamats) all around the world that His first son Prince Rahim and wife Prince Salwa were expecting their first child. The Aga Khan wanted Ismailis everywhere to share in the happiness of both the families.
