Hazar Imam at Chantilly today for the 2021 Qatar Prix du Jockey. His horse Saiyadabad & Makaloun participated in the races. Saiydabad’s regular partner Christophe Soumillon has chosen to take the ride on fellow Aga Khan owned/bred Makaloun.

Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, he was the only child of Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan III and his French-born third wife, the former Andrée Joséphine Carron. He received his early education in Lausanne, Switzerland, before graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1954 from Harvard College.[1] At Harvard, he lived in Eliot House with Paul Matisse, grandson of French artist Henri Matisse, with future Paris Review founders George Plimpton and John Train, and with Stephen Joyce, grandson of Irish writer James Joyce.[2] Along with Plimpton, he was an editor for the Harvard Lampoon.

In memory: our beloved Prince Aly Salomone Khan passed away May 12, 1960, Hospital Foch, Suresnes, France. He was born in Turin, Italy in June 13, 1911 to Mowlana Aga Sultan Muhammad Shah and Princess Cleope Teresa Maglione. Prince Sadruddin, brother of Prince Aly Khan also passed away on the same day - May 12 - in 2003

Hazar Imam expressed His great joy and special happiness in informing the Jamat about the engagement and future marriage of His beloved second son Prince Hussain to Miss Kristin J. White who had embraced Islam and adopted the name Khaliya.

Hazar Imam said "I am sure that My Jamat will share with Me in this most happy news as I rejoice Myself"

The death of Prince Aly Khan last week deprived horse racing of its foremost international figure; it also deprived our times of a man of quality.

In the fields Aly Khan chose for his own he had no peers. His horses were the best, his modern paintings were the best, his manners were the best and his women were the best. Then suddenly last Thursday night, on the gentle curve of a suburban Paris street while on his way to be guest of honor at a small dinner party, Aly's life of excellence ended

Members of My family, members of the Jamat, this is a uniquely happy occasion in My life. And as you can tell I am a little emotional. But then who isn't when you reach the revered age of eighty. So I am there, but I feel I as though I am 40. Thanks to you. .
