​The Aga Khan University Hospital has opened two new medical centres to provide consulting clinics, vaccination, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services in Lahore, Rawalpindi and surrounding areas in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

100 art pieces—many from jewelry houses—go on exhibit in April

Some people simply have amazing taste. Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, who served as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees from 1966 to 1977, was one of those people.

So much so that the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York City will host an exhibition showcasing 100 examples from his vast collection—and that of his wife, Catherine—of artworks, objects, and jewelry.

H.H. The Aga Khan celebrated his 80th birthday with his family on 13th December 2016. On 16th December, the LIF invited Mowlana Hazar Imam to a birthday party in Aiglemont. members of the Noorani family also attended: Prince Amyn, Prince Rahim, Princess Salwa, Prince Irfan, Princess Zahra.and Prince Hussain were in attendance.

US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke Saturday of the need for the world to stand firm against authoritarian populism and for the rule of law as he received France's highest decoration.

At the onset of his remarks, Secretary Kerry paid tribute to His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan for being an influential champion for peace around the world.

In a way there is nothing more exposing than standing in front of one’s own work but it’s through my passion for photography that I’m also able to share my passion for animals, wildlife and conservation and now with the help of evenings like this I want to take this passion to the next stage by starting a fund called Focused On Nature.

Losing them to habitat destruction and degradation, to hunting, poaching and many other factors.

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is given every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation and landscape architecture. Through its efforts, the Award seeks to identify and encourage building concepts that successfully address the needs and aspirations of societies across the world, in which Muslims have a significant presence. Kabul - Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani met this afternoon with the Diplomatic Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network Mrs. Nurjehan Mawani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During bilateral meeting, Mrs. Mawani briefed the Foreign Affairs Minister on the projects being carried out in collaboration with the Aga Khan Development Network and Cultural Foundation, and the future programs of this Network.

THE largest and most diverse Edinburgh international culture summit begins today with more than 40 ministerial delegations and over 60 speakers taking part.

Running over three days, the event will see some 42 countries represented, including America, Spain, Singapore, Rwanda, New Zealand, Italy, Bangladesh, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The theme of this year’s summit, the third, is “Culture: Building Resilient Communities” and has three distinct, interlinking strands; culture and heritage, economics and participation.

Dar grants Aga Khan group enhanced status

The Aga Khan yesterday signed an agreement with the government of Tanzania, granting enhanced diplomatic status to the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) which manages and co-ordinates the group's social and economic development programmes.

The agreement was signed between President Benjamin Mkapa and the Aga Khan at a high profile ceremony at State House Dar es Salaam.

Until yesterday, relations between the parties were governed by a "co-operation accord" last signed in 1991.
