Ismaili Muslims in Canada and around the world celebrate Imamat Day today.

OTTAWA, ON, July 11, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims from Canada and around the world will celebrate Imamat Day, marking the 64th anniversary of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV becoming the 49th hereditary Imam and spiritual leader of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. His Highness succeeded his grandfather, the Aga Khan III, on July 11, 1957.

On the occasion of Imamat Day, Mawlana Hazar Imam has graciously sent a Talika Mubarak to the global Jamat, which is being shared via The Ismaili.

My beloved spiritual children,

On the occasion of Imamat day, the 11th of July 2020, I send my warmest and most affectionate paternal maternal loving blessings to all my beloved spiritual children throughout the world.
I send my best loving blessings for the souls of all my ruhani spiritual children, and I pray that their souls may rest in eternal peace.

The Beloved Imam of the Ismailis, Mowlana Sultan Mohamed Shah Passed away on July 11th, 1957. He appointed his grandson Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussayni age 20 to succed him as Imam and Pir of all the ismailis of the world.
