Pakistan High Commission Canada, AKDN Canada to assist businessmen to invest in Pakistan

This was decided during a virtual meeting between Pakistan High Commissioner in Canada Raza Bashir Tarar and, Diplomatic Representative Aga Khan Development Network Dr Mahmoud Eboo in Canada.

To commemorate the occasion, the My Flag was flown over Rideau Gate, the hotel where Hazar Imam and the Begum stayed

The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto has acquired a colossal sculpture made from 100,000 pieces of Lego by the Ghanian-Canadian artist Ekow Nimako, who is known for his Afrofuturist reimaginings of Black histories built from Lego bricks.

(During Hazar Imam's Silver Jubilee visit to the Canadian Jamats, a banquet was held in His honour in Vancouver. A plaque was presented to Hazar Imam by the Deputy Premier which "symbolized the love and support and the appreciation of the citizens of British Columbia." The Mayor of Vancouver in his welcome address also announced that this day had been declared "Ismaili Day")

Ismaili CIVIC hosts collection drive for local shelters 2020-10-04
Posted October 6th, 2020 by librarian-hdThis year Ismaili CIVIC Day was observed on Sunday, September 27, 2020, in Ontario. More than three hundred volunteers gathered to run a collection drive for supplies for local women’s and youth shelters. Over 7,500 items were collected, ranging from toiletries, non-perishable food items, bedding and much more. In a bid to ensure safety given the current global pandemic, volunteers ran a drive-thru drop-off of supplies over two hours across thirteen locations in the region. The items collected were then delivered to local shelters.
