A sad event in our Ismaili history - all Jamat Khanas were announced closed till further notice in Canada and other places in the world due to the pandemic outbreak of CO-VID 19. The official announcement is as below.

The Government of Ontario has announced additional steps to limit large gatherings to reduce the risk of infection from the spread of COVID-19.

awlana Hazar Imam confirmed plans to build a high-profile centre in Houston on 22 March during his final Mulaqat of the USA Diamond Jubilee visit. He went on to say that the process of selecting architects is already underway with guidance from Hazar Imam’s brother Prince Amyn.
President of the Ismaili Council for the United States, Dr. Barkat Fazal, commented, “We are immensely grateful to Mawlana Hazar Imam as this Centre, representing our ethics and values, will serve as an ambassadorial building furthering community connection and dialogue.”

Historically serving communities of different interpretations and spiritual affiliations, these spaces have retained their cultural nomenclatures and characteristics, from ribat and zawiyya to khanaqa and jamatkhana..Here, the Jamatkhana will be reserved for traditions and practices specific to the Shia Ismaili tariqah of Islam. The Centre on the other hand, will be a symbol of confluence between the spiritual and the secular in Islam

The congregational space incorporated within the Ismaili Centre belongs to the historic category of jamatkhana, an institutional category that also serves a number of sister Sunni and Shia communities, in their respective contexts, in many parts of the world. Here, the Jamatkhana will be reserved for traditions and practices specific to the Shia Ismaili tariqah of Islam

Jamatkhana is a place of worship, inspiration, progress, peace, & protection.
Jamatkhana is an earthly abode paradise. Allah's revelation (Qu'ran) says:
Enter the gateway with humility, posture & words. Allah has manifested his light in
certain houses (Jamatkhanas).

Every one step that you take towards coming to the House of Hazar Imam,
He takes 100 steps towards you. As soon as you make a Conscious decision
to leave your house and come to the House of Hazar Imam, the blessings start
from there.

DHAKA (Vnewsbd.com) – Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, the 49th Imam of Nizari Ismailism, inaugurated newly built Jamaatkhana for Ismaili Muslims in Bashundhara Residential area, Baridhara in the capital on Tuesday.

The 49th Imam of Nizari Ismailism, arrived here Dhaka on Monday morning on a two-day visit.

A MOU was signed between Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Bangladesh on Monday and as per the MOU, AKDN will boost its development works by ten of its affiliated associations in different sectors like education, health, and environment.

The DUA timing in Dubai every day is 7:30 pm and on fridays its 7 pm.
