SPEECH BY HIS HIGHNESS PRINCE KARIM AGA KHAN KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT THE 1987 INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE
Posted February 12th, 2020 by librarian-hdam grateful to Mr. McPherson for his kind and generous introduction, and I welcome this opportunity to share with a concerned and well-informed audience some thoughts on the Third World today. He has poured money into poorer, neglected parts of the world, often into businesses as basic as making fishnets, plastic bags and matches, while also teaming up with private equity powerhouses like the Blackstone Group on a $750 million hydroelectric system in Uganda.
