In a way there is nothing more exposing than standing in front of one’s own work but it’s through my passion for photography that I’m also able to share my passion for animals, wildlife and conservation and now with the help of evenings like this I want to take this passion to the next stage by starting a fund called Focused On Nature.
We are decimating these animals!
Losing them to habitat destruction and degradation, to hunting, poaching and many other factors.

Princess Zahra and Prince Rahim visit Gilgit and inaugurate health centre 2016-05-26
Posted May 25th, 2016 by librarian-hdIslamabad, 25 May 2016 — Princess Zahra and Prince Rahim were in Gilgit yesterday, where they inaugurated a 50-bed medical centre that will serve as a healthcare hub for the surrounding region. They also visited other AKDN programmes and a Jamatkhana in the area.
The new medical centre is equipped to provide high quality diagnostics and secondary healthcare services. It also serves as a digital link between clinics in outlying villages and connects them with state-of-the-art medical resources in Pakistan and around the world.

Uhuru holds talks with Prince Amyn Aga Khan 2016-04-15
Posted April 15th, 2016 by librarian-hdPresident Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday morning held talks with Prince Amyn Aga Khan, the younger brother of His Highness the Aga Khan, who paid him a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi.
At the meeting, Prince Amyn briefed President Kenyatta on the on-going programmes of the Aga Khan Development Network in the country and the region.
President Kenyatta commended the Aga Khan Development Network for its contribution to the country’s development, especially in areas of education and health.

Aga Khan pays tribute to Genocide victims in Kigali 2016-04-14
Posted April 14th, 2016 by librarian-hdThe Chairman of the Aga Khan Group of Companies, Amyn Aga Khan, visited Kigali Genocide memorial on Wednesday to commemorate Genocide victims buried at the site.
The memorial is home to about 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The Aga Khan, who was in the country on a two-day private visit, took time to join the staff of Kigali Serena Hotel to pay respect to Genocide victims. According to Denise Omany, the country sales and marketing manager at Serena.

During his visit, Prince Hussain will be attending the Workshop on the establishment of the new agency for Habitat - Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in Dushanbe.

UNHCR staff greeted the Aga Khan before he held private talks with Guterres followed by a meeting with senior UNHCR officials on the long-standing partnership between the Aga Khan Development Network and the UN refugee agency.

Aga Khan Trust to continue working with Penang government to preserve George Town 2015-10-19
Posted October 21st, 2015 by librarian-hdTHE Aga Khan Trust for Culture, one of the world’s premier organisation involved in matters of architecture, conservation and urban planning, will continue helping Malaysia protect, develop and enhance George Town, Penang.
The trust has extended its contract with Think City Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd) and Penang state government for another three years and will provide technical assistance to preserve the town, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is 2008.

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome a dear friend to Canada, a dear friend to my family as well,” said Prime Minister Trudeau.
The pair met in the Prime Minister’s office at Centre Block to discuss “pluralism, diversity and all the things that Canada can contribute to offering more peace and stability in the world,” according to the Prime Minister.

He presented his credential to Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Thursday, the foreign ministry said.
He conveyed to the foreign minister that Aga Khan Development Network would take steps for the development of health, education, culture, and tourism sectors in Bangladesh.

The Canadian premier met with the President of the Ismaili Council for Canada Malik Talib and the resident representative of the Aga Khan Development Network Dr Mahmoud Eboo. The three discussed areas of collaboration between the government of Canada and the Ismaili Imamat, according to The Ismaili.
