Prince Hussain in Tajikistan for the new Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in Dushanbe.
Posted November 28th, 2015 by librarian-hdDUSHANBE, November 16, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Prince Hussain Aga Khan, son of His Highness the Aga Khan, arrived in Dushanbe on November 15 for a three-day working visit, according to the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Tajikistan.
During his visit, Prince Hussain will be attending the Workshop on the establishment of the new agency for Habitat - Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in Dushanbe.

Princess Zahra Aga Khan To Open Asian Racing Conference 2015-11-26
Posted November 26th, 2015 by librarian-hdPrincess Zahra Aga Khan will give the opening address at the Opening Ceremony of the 36th Asian Racing Conference at the National Sports Club of India in Mumbai on Monday, Jan. 26, 2016.
The address has special significance given that the history of her family's involvement in racing and breeding began in India in the 1800's with Aga Khan I.
The green silks with red epaulets of His Highness the Aga Khan IV are famous in top-class racing in Europe and throughout the world.

New Canadian PM praises Aga Khan Foundation's work
Posted November 8th, 2015 by librarian-hdNewly sworn-in Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited on Tuesday a delegation of the Ismaili Imamat and expressed his admiration for the global work carried out by Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
The Canadian premier met with the President of the Ismaili Council for Canada Malik Talib and the resident representative of the Aga Khan Development Network Dr Mahmoud Eboo. The three discussed areas of collaboration between the government of Canada and the Ismaili Imamat, according to The Ismaili.

Aga Khan visits UNHCR headquarters to discuss enhanced cooperation 2015-11-06
Posted November 6th, 2015 by librarian-hdHis Highness the Aga Khan, visited UNHCR headquarters today to meet UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres and discuss past and future cooperation in emergency operations around the world.
UNHCR staff greeted the Aga Khan before he held private talks with Guterres followed by a meeting with senior UNHCR officials on the long-standing partnership between the Aga Khan Development Network and the UN refugee agency.

Aga Khan Trust to continue working with Penang government to preserve George Town 2015-10-19
Posted October 21st, 2015 by librarian-hdTHE Aga Khan Trust for Culture, one of the world’s premier organisation involved in matters of architecture, conservation and urban planning, will continue helping Malaysia protect, develop and enhance George Town, Penang.
The trust has extended its contract with Think City Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd) and Penang state government for another three years and will provide technical assistance to preserve the town, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is 2008.

Hazar Imam's horses win 2 races at Arc de Triomphe

Candariliya followed with another impressive come-from-behind win in the 3rd race - the Qatar Prix de Royallieu. Princess Zahra with Princess Sara accepted both the winner's prizes. Christophe Soumillon was the jockey in both races

Taj Mahal conservation could be handed over to the Aga Khan Foundation 2015-06-09
Posted June 10th, 2015 by librarian-ldIf the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) doesn't improve the quality of conservation of Taj Mahal, the monument's maintenance could be handed over to the Aga Khan Foundation.
Talking to India Today, a senior ASI official said that the Ministry of Culture is planning to portion out the monument, giving the maintenance of its various areas to different organizations on the grounds of a Corporate Social Responsibility campaign that began in 2013 with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation signing up for the maintenance of the monument.

According to news received from Portugal newspapers, H.H. The Aga Khan, Imam of the Ismailis, will be moving some of his institutions in Portugal where he may also build a residence. H.H. The Aga Khan is expected in the Country this week and more news will be posted in this section starting today.
H.H. The Aga Khan is expected to make large investments in Portugal in the next 5 years.
