UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA IN NARYN</I> - 2004-07-07
Spiritual leader of Ismailits Prince Aga Khan is taking part in laying of the foundation stone of University of Central Asia. After the ceremony in Tadjik city of Horog, where the leading University will locate the Prince will arrive in Kyrgyzstan on July 7. The first stone of the branch of this University also will be laid with the participation of President Askar Akayev in Naryn town.

Posted July 9th, 2009 by heritagePresident Emomali Rahmonov of Tajikistan, joined His Highness the Aga Khan, Imam (spiritual leader) of the Ismaili Muslims on 6th July, in laying the foundation stone of the Khorog campus in Tajikistan - the first of three campuses of the University of Central Asia (UCA). The Vice-President of Afghanistan, Nematullah Shahrani also attended the ceremony. The second campus of the UCA was inaugurated in Naryn, Kyrgyz Republic on 8th July, by His Excellency the Prime Minister of Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Tanaev, in the presence of Prince Amyn Aga Khan and Governor Salymbekov.

Resource center for parents and children opened in Naryn
Posted August 26th, 2019 by librarian-hdAKIPRESS.COM - The opening ceremony of a parental resource center in the Naryn District Library named after E. Ibraev took place in Naryn on August 21, the Aga Khan Foundation reports.
The opening of the center was made possible thanks to a joint initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation and the Aga Khan Academy, which are both agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network.

Canada's Seneca College and the University of Central Asia sign milestone partnership agreement 2015-07-08

The signing ceremony took place at UCA's Central Administration Office in Bishkek.

H.H. The Aga Khan arrives in Naryn 2014-11-02
Posted November 23rd, 2014 by librarian-hdH.H. The Aga Khan arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic for a four day visit in the country. He was received by the Kyrgyz Minister of Education, Kanat Sadykov. During this visit, His Highness will travel to Naryn, where he will review progress on the construction of UCA’s main campus and brief provincial and local leaders on developments, including the opening of the Naryn campus which will admit its first undergraduate students in September 2016.
