Aga Khan Foundation helps teachers raise children's health literacy in Kyrgyzstan 2021-10-25
Posted October 25th, 2021 by librarian-hdAKIPRESS.COM - The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) conducted a training for more than 100 teachers from about 50 secondary school and kindergartens in Chui, Naryn, Osh and Batken oblasts from October 7 to 23.
The training was organised as part of AKF’s Schools 2030 initiative with support from its Local Impact Project. The aim of this initiative is to form and develop hygiene life skills in general education and preschool educational institutions to create a friendly and safe educational environment and prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

This three-day international Conference is jointly hosted by the University of Central Asia (UCA), State Committee for Information Technology and Communications, and the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, and includes a day-long session at UCA’s campus in Naryn.

Resource center for parents and children opened in Naryn
Posted August 26th, 2019 by librarian-hdAKIPRESS.COM - The opening ceremony of a parental resource center in the Naryn District Library named after E. Ibraev took place in Naryn on August 21, the Aga Khan Foundation reports.
The opening of the center was made possible thanks to a joint initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation and the Aga Khan Academy, which are both agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network.

Prince Aly Muhammad spent time with students in Naryn to understand more about their backgrounds and aspirations.
“I was deeply inspired by the students and faculty I had the opportunity to meet during this trip. Getting to know so many talented students and learning more about the UCA’s mission has been exciting and deeply rewarding,” explained Prince Aly.

During this visit, His Highness will travel to Naryn, where he will review progress on the construction of UCA’s main campus and brief provincial and local leaders on developments, including the opening of the Naryn campus which will admit its first undergraduate students in September 2016.
