In this age(time, universe), the Lord has fashioned the earth and the heavens,
and has given (the promise during) the nine months in the mother's womb.
By considering the Imaam as a pure entity, worship (serve) Him,
the result of which you will attain the Vision and salvation.
O dear ones, do not consider the milk (symbol of worldly nourishment - pleasure
and food) as beautiful (although it may appear to be so). By consuming
such milk you will fall into chaos and confusion. Consider the blemish
(in this milk) as that of Aly and indeed it is that of the True Lord.

[Here the blemish in the midst of worldly pleasure and enjoyment,
symbolises the 'gnaan' i.e., knowledge and wisdom from the Peer,
and stands in contrast to the milk of worldly experience.]

ejee kuttu(m)b pareevaar jeevdde ghannaa kareeyaa

The soul has made many family and other relationships (in this world).
The soul has come and fallen into chaos and confusion as a result.
The raw and unstable body and the physical form will collapse and fall.
The account (of it's deeds) will be in the hands of the Lord.

ejee an paannee naa parab jaare sukashe
taare stree rotaa mele baall ho

When the granary( 'parab') of food and water will dry out, the woman will cry
and abondon her child. The father and son will fight each other.
Such will be the condition of this false and difficult period.

ejee saameenaa dall jyaare chaalshe
taare sat dharamnu(n) thaayshe vahevaar ho
unnee aachaaree teeyaa(n) ubhaa raheshe
fal laheshe sachaa yaar ho...................................4

When the leaves (colours, influence) of the Lord will prevail,
there will be genuine connection (relationship) with the True Religion.
At that time people of lowly activities will stand there (in regrets)
while the true and genuine friends of the Lord will obtain their fruits.

ejee aal alee nabeejeenee ollakheene sarevajo

Worship (serve) the progeny of Aly and the Prophet after recognising them.
They have established the principles (essence) of the True Path.
Peer Sadardeen says,"My brother believers, remain intelligent and alert".

IMAANEE AA JUG MAA(N)HE JAANNEEYE
BY PEER SADARDEEN

***** raag the same as hetesu meelo maaraa munivaro **************

ejee imaanee aa jug maa(n)he jaanneeye, jene bhetteeyaa satgur nur
satgur bhetteeyaa muneevaro, to haradam shaah hajur..........1

Know the real faithful (imaanee) ones in this age as those who have been
embraced by the light of the True Guide. When the True Guide
has embraced the believers, the Lord is present with them upon
every breath (always).

ejee satgur saathee keejee-e, to paratak shaah deekhlaay
satgur bhetteeye muneevaro, to haajar shaahaa nur paay.......2

Make the True Guide as your companion, then he will show you the
manifest Lord (Imaam). Embrace the True Guide believers,
then you will attain the Light of the Lord.

ejee nur neeraakaar jaannajo, te aaj paratak dev kahevaay
tenne aap ichh-chhaaye upaavyaa, bhaai chaud bhavan soy......3

Know the Light (nur) to be formless, which today is called the Manifest
Lord (Imaam). He created out of His own desire, brother, the form and
structure of the fourteen universes.

ejee chaud bhavan chee(n)te karee, ane sarve rachyo tthaatth
paa(n)ch tatvano putalo, saaamee raaje ghaddeeyo ghaatt......4

He thought about the fourteen universes (in the cosmic mind)
and then created all of them in a pompous (glorious) manner.
The Lord, the Master formed many shapes including the idol of
the five essences (sense perceptions) - human body.

ejee saamee raajo sahuno daataar chhe, ane rojee no purann haar
jeenakee jesee keesmat kaheeye, teenku(n) tesaa deve daataar.5

The Lord, the Master is the Provider and is the Beneficient to every being,
and he is the Fulfiller of your livelihood and your basic needs,'rojee'.
Whatever is the form or nature of your luck, will be reflected in
what is provided to you.

ejee aap peechhaanno ne aapanno, ane vellaa veechaaree ne joy
aapannu(n) aap peechhaanntaa, sudh sarup paaiye soy..........6

Know yourselves and about yourselves, and think about the
circumstances around you. By constant self examination,
you will attain the conscious or intellectual form (quality).

ejee shudh budh gur thakee paameeye, ane gure bataavee vaatt
gurnar govee(n)d donu(n) bhetteeye, jo kaasal naa(n)kho kaaddh
...........7

You will attain real understanding and intellect through the Guide
and the Guide shows you the Path. You will embrace both the Guide
and the Master (as one entity) and the Lord, if you remove all the dirt (sins).

ejee kaasal kaaddho aapannee, to shaah mukh dekhone soy
jem a(m)bar aakaashmaa(n), bhaai suraj sanmukh hoy...........8

Remove your dirt (sins), then you will see the face of the Lord.
It will be as evident as the sun shining over the skies.

ejee man vash raakhone aapannu(n), ane man jeete sarave jeete
jenne muneevare man vash raakhyaa, gur kahe saachee tenee
preet........................................................9

Keep your (lower)mind under control, and the one who conquers the
(lower desires of the) mind wins everything. The believer who has
kept his/her mind under control, his/her love (or worship) is to be
considered true as per the teachings of the Guide.

ejee man to mahaa balva(n)t chhe, ane jodh joraavar jaann
man jeete sarave jeet she, bhaai man nee haanno haann.......10

The mind and it's desires are very strong forces, and indeed the
most powerful and offensive (they fuel greed and unwanted desires).
If one conquers the mind, he/she wins everything as the mind
inflicts loses upon loses.

ejee mane bhulaavyaa chaud lokne, chaud lok jeetere man
jenne muneevare man cheet vash raakhyaa, bhaai taaku dhano
dhan........................................................11

When the mind is preoccupied by matters pertaining to the fourteen heavens
(i.e., is engaged in contemplation, reflection and meditation) and therefore
has forsaken the lower mind (nafs), has indeed won the fourteen heavens.
The believer who has brought his/her (lower) mind and consciousness under control,
has acquired abundant wealth (well being).

ejee veekh vaasanaa jaare gale, taare man vash-j thaay
peer sadardeen em bhanne, taare nure nur samaay.............12

When the poison and dirt (sins) are buried, then the mind comes
under control completely. Peer Sadardeen teaches that when that happens,
the light (enlightened soul) merges into light.

HUN RE PIYAASI PIYAA TERE DARSHANKI

Sayyed Khan

I am so thirsty of your didar

please fulfil this expectation

I am thirsty and I adore You (I depend on You)

how come You do not worry about me?

This humble adorer has special personal services for You

(and yet) I do not know how will You turn to me?

O my sullenly cross Lord ...1

Please listen to my prayers O my Lord

do not stay incommunicative from your maid-servant

O Lord do grant my wishes

O I am greatly unhappy

If you grant me the wishes of my heart,

O the Beneficient One

I shall be most happy ...2

Like fish without water, how can I live without my Beloved?

I am giving up my life for my Lord (look at the fish)

it is so lonely without water

look how much it does, it wriggles and flounces out of uneasiness

(but) all its wriggling and flouncing do not help

because the fisherman does not take pity ...3

False is the love of the bumblebee

the didar of the Lord cannot be done this way

(the ways of the bumblebee)

false is the love of the bumblebee

it keeps on moving from bud to bud enjoying the nectar

like that the ones ignoble in character

the forgetful (and) blind

do not sacrifice their lives on their Beloved ...4

True is the love of the moth

the didar of the Lord can be done this way

true is the love of the moth

it sacrifices itself with joy and zeal over and over again

(look) how many moths sacrifice themselves over

just a single lamp ...5

I have sacrificed everything for the Beloved One (Lord)

we must offer the best of our possessions

to the Beloved One (Lord)

Please get me out of this ill-fortune

(I beseech) consider my prayers

be kind enough to keep us with You O Lord

please listen to my prayers ...6

The one who is didari will always wish this

(that) he will never leave this Lord to follow anyone else

the one who is a didari will always develop attachment

and will keep increasing in his love (for the Lord)

with everyday that passes

he will always remember the Lord

with full concentration of mind

these are the ones who get the didar of the Lord ...7

Please do not treat your orphan maid servant like this

(by keeping away from her)

If I have shortcomings please overlook them

I am your sinful maid servant

how come You do not worry about me?

I beeseech You to overlook my shortcomings O Lord

please do pay heed to my prayers ...8

We are nothing on our own we are called your maid servants

our Lord admires this (state) when one gets rid of one's ego

Such is the maid servant (of the Lord)

everyday his love for the Lord multiplies

he remembers the Lord with full concentration of mind

this is how one must sacrifice oneself ...9

We must keep ourselves to our Lord single mindedly

and enjoy that state with love

we must keep ourselves to our Lord single mindedly

and increase our love (for Him)

one who is able to sacrifice one's head for (His love)

he is the one who attains the didar of the Beloved One

(the Lord) ...10

There is nothing better than bond of love

do whatever pleases the Lord (for His love)

those who died out of such love for the Lord

such have died well

do good deeds and the Lord will give you salvation ...11

O Lord I am your sinful slave

please consider my worship for You

My Lord consider it to be joyful O friends

with the mercy of the Lord says Sayyed Khan

all our difficulties are vanquished ...12

Look at the fish out of water. How can it live without the Beloved? For the Beloved's sake it offers its life. Out of water the fish is lonely: see how it twitches in death. But its writhing and leaping are of no avail, and the fisherman shows it no mercy.

False love, one may say, is like the bee's. The vision of the Beloved is not attained in this way. False love, one may say, is like the bee's, who takes nectar from one bud after another. Such are those without good deeds, the heedless and blind, who do not sacrifice their lives to the Beloved.

True love, one may say, is like the moth's, for thus is the vision of the Beloved attained. True love, one may say, is like the moth's, who tumbles down to sacrifice its body. For the sake of a single lamp, many moths sacrifice their lives.

ejee hamare peeaa par sabahee vaareeaa,

Let all be sacrificed to my Beloved, for everything that is dear should be offered to Him. Get rid of this delay and prevarication, and decide to say something at least. Be merciful, o Master, and preserve me, and pay attention to these words of mine.

ejee deedaaree hove so esaa chaahaave,

deedaaree hoy so dil baa(n)dhe, din din adhakaa neh dhare;

He who desires the vision should wish not to pay attention to anything other than the Master. He who would have the vision attaches his heart to Him, increasing his love day by day. Through invoking His name in singleness of mind, he achieves the vision of the Beloved.

ejee yateem daasee su(n) esaa na keeje,

Do not behave thus to this orphan handmaiden. If I have faults, then make them virtues. Though a sinner, I am Your humble slave. Why do You not care for me? If I have faults, then make them virtues, o Master, and pay attention to these words of mine.

It is by becoming nothing that one is called a handmaiden. Thus one pleases the Master. It is by becoming nothing that one is called a handmaiden, ever arising to increase her love. Through invoking His name in singleness of mind, this is how you should destroy bodily attachments.

ejee ekaman thaee saaheb jee su(n) rahee-e,

Through becoming single in mind, dwell with the Master. Through love, such joys are attained. Through becoming single in mind, dwell with the Master, and feel intense love. He who sacrifices his head for love attains the vision of the Beloved.

So do not consume the right of the Imaam (tithe).

If you consume that which is gross of the tithe (that income from
which dasond has not been submitted), then inspite of it being
sweet outwardly, it will ultimately become sour (or yield sour fruits).
Brothers, do not consume that which fuels the greedy and
possessive tendencies in the soul.

The person who consumes the tithe will become disintegrated or disoriented.
If this is the case, what is the use of taking the name of the Imaam.
