MAL KHAJINA BAHOTAJ BHARIYA
Pir Gulmalishah

Things and treasure are in abundance, but nothing out of it is thine. Lust and palaces thou shalt forget: thy abode shall be (in a) jungle.

O my mind! (mind i.e. embodied) thou art still sleeping in slumber of ignorance! This is the time to remember Shah; this is the time to remember Mowla. ...1

Refrain: O my mind thou art still sleeping!

Over thy head there hovereth death. O saint; wake up it is dawn (or the right time). Forgetst if thee (to remember God) at this hour, thou shalt suffer many a rebirth. ...2

Whole of this world is untrue, think not: it is mine. Shake off delusion and concentrate in the Creator (Brahma). Introspect thy own interior (soul). ...3

Take the light (of God) in thy body-self. Without (the guidance of a true) preceptor there prevaileth utter obscurity. Sayeth Pir Gulmalishah: Remember (God), O my mind! come round. ...4
