SOONO SOONO MOMINO SOONI MANN LAAVANA

Pir Shams

O believers! Listen and act accordingly when heard the worth hearing facts. Have in mind the alarm of doomsday and be dreaded with trembling breast. (Once upon a time)

Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) asked the angel Gabriel:

"How many times have you to come? How many times have you to visit the world after me?"

Replied Gabriel: "Listen, O Prophet Muhammad! I have come ten times."

...1

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the first time. My coming the first time will cause me to take away PROSPERITY. Nothing will remain when prosperity will be taken away in the world.

...2

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the second time.

My coming a second time will be to take away LOVE.

All will become void of love when love will be taken away from the world.

...3

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the third time.

My coming a third time will be to take away BLESSING.

Not a single corn will grow when blessing (of God) will be taken away in the world.

...4

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the fourth time.

My coming a fourth time will be to take away MODESTY.

Modesty from men and women will be taken away and (consequently) they will behave like cattle.

...5

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the fifth time.

My coming a fifth time will be to take away CHARITY.

Charity will be taken away from the rich people, so nothing will remain (in the world).

...6

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the sixth time. My coming a sixth time will be to take away FAITH.

Seldom will there be faithfuls (because) all will become

non-believers.

...7

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the seventh time.

My coming again a seventh time will be to take away PROMISE.

Rulers will violate promises and will not abide by the given promises.

...8

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the eighth time.

My coming an eighth time will be to take away JUSTICE.

Justice will be taken away from the rulers and consequently, oppression will prevail everywhere.

...9

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the ninth time.

My coming a ninth time will be to take away PATIENCE.

Patience will be taken away in the world, and consequently, all will become impatient.

...10

O Muhammad! Listen, I have to come (again) for the tenth time to take away the QUR'AN.

Nothing will remain thereafter in the world when the Holy Qur'an will be taken away.

...11

Everybody will be illiterate and nobody in the world will understand. Each one would have the knowledge of (wearing) the clothes and dresses, but nobody would have the knowledge (of reality). Those who come wearing silken clothes would be worshipped as God. O brothers! Beware in advance and consider these ten facts to be true. When the world is deprived of prosperity, love, modesty like there are (all the) ten things, it will be an indication of the appearance of doomsday. Pir Shams, the darwish also imparts likewise: The time for the appearance of the Lord is matured.

SUNO SUNO BHAIVE MOMANO

Pir Shams

Listen, listen, O you brothers! O you faithful believers!

Such a treacherous era of Kaljug has come. ...1

We have remained idle many days.

Now the end, O the end has been reached! ...2

You be careful if you can.

My believers, O my believing brothers! ...3

Keep practising the religous rules daily.

Do much, O do much earning! ...4

Soon will be the time for Ali Shah (Hazir Imam)

In a few days, only in a few days' time. ...5

The Lord will demand the account;

Keep the mind, O keep the mind settled! ...6

Heaven is not available without the spiritual Guide.

Believe that, O believe that as true. ...7

Listen to what the Pir says,

Pay attention, O pay attention to that also! ...8

O brothers, recite the name of God night and day;

Recognize that word of God for recitation,

O recognize that original word of God! ...9

All beautiful things are present on earth.

Unite, O unite, and think of all that has been told to you. ...10

The boat of Mowlana Ali is best;

And the space in there, O the space is plenty! ...11

Those who will get into this boat,

They are ours, they are ours. ...12

The holy didar of Hazir Imam is obtained,

Now cheer up, O cheer up in your minds. ...13

The followers of the true path is he,

Who knows, he knows, the religion (and its) practice. ...14

In the hearts of those there is no religious fervour,

They are, O they are hypocrites. ...15

What Pir Shams says is true information,

Believe it, O believe it as truth. ...16

No learned man will understand, and all will become ignorant. No one will understand knowledge, but all will recognise just clothes and dress. They will consider the one who comes dressed in silken clothes to be God.

Understand properly these ten things, and take heed in good time, o brother. When the ten things, such as prosperity, love and modesty have entirely departed from the world, then the sign of the Resurrection appears. Peer Shams the Qalandar says: the time of the Lord of the Resurrection has come.
