1978, January 17-20: Mowlana Shah Karim visited New Dehli in India. He called on President Sanjiva Reddy and Prime Minister Morarji Desai and held discussions with Ministers. He also offered to help Indian students abroad in various fields. The Imam arrived in Ahmedabad on January 20.

2008, January 18: Zanzibar - The Aga Khan Trust for Culture will spend 2.6b/- for the rehabilitation of Forodhani park in Zanzibar's historical Stone Town. Prince Amyn Aga Khan said at the occasion that restoration of Forodhani park was part of Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC)'s long-term objective to revitalise the historical seafront of Stone Town. He said the rehabilitation was a major contribution to the social, cultural and economic development of the island, and that it should lead to its self-sustainability.

In addition to meeting with other Muslim leaders, Hazar Imam had a meeting with His Holiness Dr. Syedna M. Burhanuddin, leader of the Bohora community, who hosted a lunch at Saifee Mahal in Bombay in Hazar Imam's honour.

Mowlana Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah visited Pakistan. They were received by General Mohammad Yahya Khan at the Presidential Palace where Mowlana Hazar Imam was awarded the Nishan-I-Imitiaz. Later in the evening the President hosted a dinner for them.

Simla, October 1, 1906 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III read out the memorial 'A Bill of Muslim Rights' as he headed the first Muslim deputation to Viceroy Lord Minto. This address was prepared by Bilgrami which when read by Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III proved to have the most impact as it brought out the constitutional and political changes necessary for the establishment of the All India Muslim League.

Prince Hussain Aga Khan held a beautiful speech on the main stage during EAT Stockholm Food Forum 2019 to bring awareness to the endangered species living in our oceans. Since the age of five, he has been a fan of the ocean and everything connected to it.

At 14, Prince Hussain Aga Khan started scuba diving, and by exploring the deep wide blue he developed a keen interest in conservation. He started traveling to the tropics frequently at secondary school and began taking photographs of fauna and flora on a trip to the Brazilian Amazon in 1996.

The soil of Africa was blessed with the Holy visit of our spiritual father this month when he arrived in Leopoldville, Congo, for one day on Saturday, January 8. He came to attend the foundation ceremony of the new 20 storey building of I.P.S. But due to the prevalent corruption of that time, that building could not be constructed.

The inauguration of President Karzai took place today in Kabul, Afghanistan. Two chairs away on the left of President Karzai sat His Highness the Aga Khan. The city was given a day off, with all roads around the Palace closed.

PRINCE SADRUDIN AGA KHAN'S VISIT TO MOMBASA

Prince Sadrudin, Princess Aleya and their friends were recently in Mombasa for their annual holidays and spent a fortnight at their Bahati Villa on the South Coast.

Prince Sadrudin travelled by road from Nairobi to Mombasa after having just arrived by air on Monday 23rd December, 1985. Representatives from the Mombasa Provincial Council welcomed the party at the Likoni Ferry that evening.

Mowlana Hazar Imam arrived at Nairobi to attend opening of training school and nurses' homes at Aga Khan Platinum Jubilee Hospital by President Jomo Kenyatta.

On a clear day, with binoculars, you can look across lake Geneva from Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan's office to the towers of his seventh century Chateau Bellerive, at least you could until yesterday, when he resigned after 12 years as UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Outside are well-kept lawns, winding paths, splendid great evergreens. It all seems a million miles away from the squalor and misery one associates with the very word refugee.

Kampala, Uganda, 17 December 2015 - The Aga Khan University, a not-for-profit, private international university, announced today it will build a teaching hospital in Kampala to provide Ugandans with health care and higher education of world-class quality.

Members of My family, members of the Jamat, this is a uniquely happy occasion in My life. And as you can tell I am a little emotional. But then who isn't when you reach the revered age of eighty. So I am there, but I feel I as though I am 40. Thanks to you. .

This has been a very, very happy occasion for Me and I would like to thank everyone who has participated in making this event happen.

IPS (Kenya) celebrated its Silver Jubilee at Nairobi Serena Hotel's Mandari Room where Hazar Imam awarded Long Service Certificates to various employees. Speaking on the concept of IPS, Hazar Imam said: 'And the idea, that development companies could commit substantial quantities of equity to the developing world, and demonstrate that equity could be invested, be made productive, could grow and establish sound long-term enterprises, was, in 1963, a difficult question for people to believe in, and to sustain.

H.H. The Aga Khan celebrated his 80th birthday with his family on 13th December 2016. On 16th December, the LIF invited Mowlana Hazar Imam to a birthday party in Aiglemont. members of the Noorani family also attended: Prince Amyn, Prince Rahim, Princess Salwa, Prince Irfan, Princess Zahra.and Prince Hussain were in attendance.
