HIS HIGHNESS ADDRESSES THE TEACHERS OF GYMKHANA SCHOOL

"Are there any problems which you want to raise with me? I haven't got much time, what I mean I'd rather hear what your problems are than make any form of address. Is there anyone who wants to raise any particular problem?......Pause......Are there no problems that you wish to discuss at this stage?'

Mowlana Hazar Imam spoke to Ismailis at the Darkhana and Garden Jamatkhanas. Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah visited Prince Aly Khan Boys' Academy to perform its opening ceremony. Hazar Imam said; 'The Ismailia Youth Services have provided a magnificent example which I hope will be followed, not only by my Jamat in Pakistan, but also by my Jamat in other parts of the world.'

Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws was conferred on Hazar Imam by Sind University, Jamshoro at a Special Convocation. In his citation, Al-Haj Sayid Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Vice-Chancellor of the University said; 'In a short span of 12 years as Imam, His Royal Highness has shown that he is endowed with wisdom, versatility, sagacity and statesmanship which are characteristic of his noble and great family.

February 3, 1922 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III gave an interview with 'The Bombay Chronicle' regarding issues in Indian Politics. The full text was printed in 'The Bombay Chronicle', Bombay, 4 February 1922. ([1] 720)

Aga Khan III Stayed in Zanzibar 29 days while The First Constitution was prepared - 1905

1905 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III visited Africa and stayed in Zanizibar for 29 days. Imam brought with him the owner of Sarswarti Press, Mr. Vithaldas N. Suratia to write the Farmans. Mr. Suratia later published Farman books. In the Farman book No. 15A, Mr. Suratia gives a detailed account of the Zanizibar visit. According to these details, Imam was in Zanzibar for 29 days when the first Constitution of the Jamat was prepared and ordained.

Act may cause Ismailis to leave S.A. - Aga Khan

Prince Karim, 21-year-old Aga Khan, said in Johannesburg yesterday that South African ismailis were "keeping in mind" the possibility of leaving South Africa and going to some other country "where they can live their normal lives"

The 300 South African Ismailis - most of whom were traders - were worried about the Group Areas Act and the way it would affect their trading opportunities.

Diplomas granted to 69 nurses at A.K. School of Nursing by Begum Salimah. Six nurses were from the army. In speech, Begum Salimah said that nurses can bring a major contribution to society.

Prince Aly Khan at Ismaili Youth Sports 1944-02-10

Under the auspices of Young Ismailis Brotherhood, various sports were arranged by Young Ismailis Youth Sports at the Cooperage in the immediate presence of H.S.H. Prince Aly Khan on 10th February 1944. The beloved Valiahad is seen watching the various sports with Chairman Gulamali G. Merchant B.A., LL.B
