February 3, 1922 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III gave an interview with 'The Bombay Chronicle' regarding issues in Indian Politics. The full text was printed in 'The Bombay Chronicle', Bombay, 4 February 1922. ([1] 720)

Aga Khan III Stayed in Zanzibar 29 days while The First Constitution was prepared - 1905

1905 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III visited Africa and stayed in Zanizibar for 29 days. Imam brought with him the owner of Sarswarti Press, Mr. Vithaldas N. Suratia to write the Farmans. Mr. Suratia later published Farman books. In the Farman book No. 15A, Mr. Suratia gives a detailed account of the Zanizibar visit. According to these details, Imam was in Zanzibar for 29 days when the first Constitution of the Jamat was prepared and ordained.

Act may cause Ismailis to leave S.A. - Aga Khan

Prince Karim, 21-year-old Aga Khan, said in Johannesburg yesterday that South African ismailis were "keeping in mind" the possibility of leaving South Africa and going to some other country "where they can live their normal lives"

The 300 South African Ismailis - most of whom were traders - were worried about the Group Areas Act and the way it would affect their trading opportunities.

They both attended the marriage ceremonies of Shah-en-Shah of Iran. Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III gave Holy Deedar to thousands of Ismailis in Mahalat.

February 1951 - Karachi, Pakistan: Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III said, 'Arabic, as a national language, will give you immediate contact not only with forty million Arabic-speaking people of independent nations on your West, but the other sixty million more or less Arabic-speaking people who are not independent but who exist in Africa. Right up to the Atlantic, not only in the North, but as far South as Nigeria and Gold Coast, and in all the Sudans and in East Africa, Arabic is known to large numbers of people.

Hazar Imam visited Ismaili gatherings at the three main centres in Karachi, at Kharadhar, Garden and Karimabad. Also visited the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam Mohamed Ali Jinnah, the Father of Pakistan, to offer Fateha and lay a floral tribute. In the evening, Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were guests of honour at a reception given by Vazier Amir Ali Fancy.

The Ismailis, followers of Mowlana Hazar Imam H.H. The Aga Khan residing in India, Burma and Ceylon as well as in Persian Gulf, Muscat and Central Asia celebrated the joint birthdays of His Highness, H.S.H. Prince Aly Khan and beloved Prince Sadruddin with great rejoicings and festivities on the 9th March 1940.

European Horse Of The Year Aga Khan's Dalakhani Dies At Age 21

The Aga Khan Studs are saddened to announce that homebred champion Dalakhani has passed away on Jan. 15 at the age of 21.

Bred in Ireland, Dalakhani was a pure product of the Aga Khan Studs operation, being a son of the Aga Khan's Prix du Jockey Club winner Darshaan out of the Miswaki, blue hen mare, Daltawa.

Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were felicitated at a joint meeting of Rotary Clubs of Bombay, New Bombay and Thane at Oberoi-Sheraton Hotel Mowlana Hazar Imam addressed the Rotarians on 'Collaboration of Service Organizations.' Hazar Imam said; 'You referred to me as 'Superhuman' and I recollect how the Americans had applied Einstein's theory of relativity of this concept. No sooner had American comics invented Superman, then somebody asked 'superman in relation to whom?' The result was the immediate creation of supermouse.'

Winners of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture have been presented with their prizes at a ceremony at the Alhambra Palace, in Grenada, Spain. The event was covered by the Nation correspondant, the ceremony took place in the presence of the King and Queen of Spain and the Aga Khan and the Begum Aga Khan.
