February 13, 1914 -Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III was given a grand reception by the leaders of the Indian communities residing in Burma at the Jubilee Hall at approximately 5 p.m. The Honourable U. Hpay was voted to the chair, and he started the proceedings. The address of welcome was read by U. May Oung (which was later printed in the 'The Rangoon Gazette,' on February 16 under the title "Advise to the Indian Residents in Burma"). The address was then enclosed in a silver casket surmounted by a golden peacock and was then presented to Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III.

The garden honours the partnership between the University of Alberta and the Aga Khan University

A spectacular new garden will bloom in 2018 at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden, located 15 minutes southwest of Edmonton.

"I have been most impressed during this short visit, not only with the excellent maintenance of the buildings, but even more so with the appearance of all the children and with the intelligent care and guidance they are receiving. Bravo to All." In the afternoon, His Royal Highness accompanied by Princess Salimah drove to the Prince Aly Khan Boys' Academy at Malir to perform the opening ceremony of the Academy established by the Ismailia Youth Services in memory of Hazar Imam's illustrious father the late Prince Aly S. Khan.

HIS HIGHNESS ADDRESSES THE TEACHERS OF GYMKHANA SCHOOL

"Are there any problems which you want to raise with me? I haven't got much time, what I mean I'd rather hear what your problems are than make any form of address. Is there anyone who wants to raise any particular problem?......Pause......Are there no problems that you wish to discuss at this stage?'

Mowlana Hazar Imam spoke to Ismailis at the Darkhana and Garden Jamatkhanas. Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah visited Prince Aly Khan Boys' Academy to perform its opening ceremony. Hazar Imam said; 'The Ismailia Youth Services have provided a magnificent example which I hope will be followed, not only by my Jamat in Pakistan, but also by my Jamat in other parts of the world.'

Mowlana Sultan Muhammad Shah accompanied by Begum Princess Teresa Aga Khan (mother of Prince Aly Khan) arrived in Bombay aboard the S.S. Cathay on 10th January, 1936. This visit was in the Golden Jubilee year of the Imamat of our 48th Holy Imam

Hazar Imam spoke as the Guest of Honour at the prestigious annual dinner of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs on the theme, 'Good Governance and the Civil Society'. Some 350 people, including government officials, diplomats, development specialists, academics, journalists, business people and civic leaders, attended the gathering at the Savoy Hotel. Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws was conferred on Hazar Imam by Sind University, Jamshoro at a Special Convocation. In his citation, Al-Haj Sayid Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Vice-Chancellor of the University said; 'In a short span of 12 years as Imam, His Royal Highness has shown that he is endowed with wisdom, versatility, sagacity and statesmanship which are characteristic of his noble and great family.
