In this auspicious time the Guide tells you.

Assuming a dignified guise the Imam will be seated.

Sat Panth maanhe kashti deshe ji 9

On the True Path he will provide tests.

Sati hoyshe te kashti sahese ji 10

Whoever is a true believer will endure the tests.

Te to vachan amaara sarve joyshe ji 11

He will experience all our Farmans.

Be-imaani jiv andhaa hoyshe ji 12

The ones who are without Iman will remain blind.

Karddo rup dhekhi ne te darshe ji 13

He will fear after observing the dignified form.

Sat imaan tenaa dhar she ji 14

This person's Imam and truth will vanish.

Kass detaa duniyaa maanhe bhulshe ji 15

Upon being tested he will be lost in this world.

Jem maati maanhe panni bhirshe ji 16

Just as clay mixing with water.

Jenne kiriyaa chaalis na saari ji 17

Whoever did not perform the fourty deeds,

Jenne jaanni kiriyaa na saari ji 18

Whoever did not perform the deeds having knowledge about them,

Kiriyaa daahinnaa te Noor na pidhaa ji 19

The deficient of good deeds did not drink the Noor.

Noor pidhaa pann laad na lidhaa ji 20

This person drank but did not derive any delight.

Noor pidhaa naa fal kahiyen ji 21

These are fruits for the consumption of the Noor.

Dev gotte to nito nit miliyen ji 22

When he seeks God he finds him every day.

Noor pidhaa naa fal janno ji 23

Know the fruits of drinking the Noor.

Tame dil maanhe Sat Gur aanno ji 24

Remember the True Guide in your hearts.

Paheli kiriyaa te sat-e rahenna ji 25

The first deed is to live truthfully.

Gat gangaa maanhe aadhin thaayen ji 26

In Jamat Khana remain humble.

Amar huwaa te Noor-e bhariyaa ji 27

He who became immortal is filled with Noor.

Noor pidhaa naa fal kahiyen ji 28

This is the fruit of drinking the Noor.

Koddi dammnni te pujaa ni dahiyen ji 29

Submit a token amount as devotion.

Hasti kunjar naa fal lahiyen ji 30

You will derive the fruit of the elephant and the horse.

Koddi dammnni dai kunjar lije ji 31

Giving a token of devotion, you will derive a horse.

Koddi dammnni vinaa kunjar haaro ji 32

Without the token you will lose the horse.

Sati lok ne bharann bharav she ji 33

He will fulfil the wishes of the true devotees.

Sat raakho to Sat Gur ne miliyen ji 34

If you adopt the truth you will attain the True Guide.

Pratham kiriyaa achaar tame paallo ji 35

First perform the rites and duties (of religion).

Kiriyaa paalle te moman hove ji 36

Whoever performs the ritual duties will remain a momin.

Karanni kije to Sat Gur ne miliyen ji 37

If you perform rewarding deeds, you will attain the True Guide.

Sat Gur jugaa jug kahiyaa ji 38

The True Guide has said this over ages.

Sarajiyaa hoy to Sat Gur ne miliyen ji 39

If you have been born, then meet the True Guide.

Sat Gur-e Sat Panth dekhaadiyaa ji 40

The True Guide has shown you the True Path.

Sat Gur vinaa to jivdo naa chhutte ji 41

Without the True Guide the soul is not freed.

Sat Gur vinna to khan naa suje ji 42

Without the True Guide no instant is purposeful.

Pir Imaam Shaah ginaan-j laadho ji 43

Sayyed Imam Shah has found ginan only (and has related it).

Maare moman ne ku bahest likhaayaa ji 44

For my true devotees paradise has been established.

Eji Ved vachan Gur tanna,
te samjo saachaa soi;
saach vinaa nahi aavse,
kuddaa na paave koi 1

O momins! Understand as truth the scriptural speech of the Guide. Without the truth he will not come and the wicked ones do not attain anyone.

Eji Kudde Shaah na paayaa,
vali saachaa Satgur jaann;
ved vachan Satgur tannaa,
te ride raakho parmaann 2

O momins!The wicked ones did not attain the Imam, whereas the truthful ones understood the True Guide. Firmly retain the scriptural guidance of the True Guide in your hearts.

Eji Kahiyaa Gurjinaa maane nahi,
ane na maane keni vaat;
te eklaa rehese vegalaa,
Gurji nahi sangaat 3

O momins!They do not heed to the words of the Guide and indeed do not follow any other advice. They will remain alone neglected without the Guides company.

Eji Jamaat gatt thaapnaa kare,
tiyaan anek jiv male sansaar;
tiyaan koek Narne jaannse,
baaki sarve duniyaa vevaar 4

O momins!Where the Jamat establishes the Ghat Paat ceremony, there numerous souls meet. There only a few recognize the Imam, the rest are tied up with wordly matters.

Eji Naat vevaare sahu male,
ane na jaanne sat-ni vaat;
paaval piye sahu sarkhaa,
pann Gurni na jaane dhaat 5

O momins!All meet their friends and relatives while not understanding the matters of truth. All of them partake of the Abe Safa in the same manner, but do not know the essence of the Guide

Eji Gatt pujaa koi virlaa jaannese,
ane kunbh jalno chhe naam;
visav kunvaari aavi pise,
parnne tribhovar shaam 6

O momins!Only a few courageous ones know the worship of the Gat Paat ceremony and what the significance of the pot (kumb) is. The virgin of the universe (the purified soul) will come and drink and weds the Lord of the three worlds (obtains the deedar) as a result.

Eji Bibi Fatmaa te kahiye,
vali visav kuaari jaann;
Shaah farmaane gatt thaapiyaa,
bhanne Pir Shamsdin nirvaann 7

O momins!We regard Hazart Bibi Fatima as the virgin of the universe. Pir Shams teaches with conviction that the Ghat Paat was established by the command of the Imam.

O momins! Do not love the world and have love for religion. The world is there for four days (is fleeting), and religion does not deceive or there is no limit to religion.

Eji Sansaarmaa ek man kijie,
temaa na kijie bharaant;
jap tap satnu kijie,
to saahebsun hove ekaant 2

O momins! In this world be firm and single minded and have no doubts about it. Perform prayers and supplications of truth, then you will be one with the Imam.

Eji Manmahen mindar chanaaviye
ane manmaahe sarve kuchh jaan
manni maalaa pherie
ane mansun puj parman 3

O momins! Make your heart the abode of the Lord, and understand that everything is within the heart. Say the rosery of the heart, worship the Lord from the heart.

Eji Manmaa deval jaanniye,
ane manmaa ghatt parmaann;
manmaa kunbhni pujaa kijie,
to Satgur bhettiyaa jaann 4

O momins! Know that the Lord is in the heart, and in the heart is the true Ghat (bowl). Perform the worship of the kumbh (ghat paat rituals) in the heart, then it would be as if the True Guide has embraced you.

Eji Jaaher manddhi baandhiye,
ane manmaanhe vasaaiye vaas;
sati silvantaa aavi male,
pure man ni aas 5

O momins! Build a place of worship which is apparent and make a place for it in the heart. The pure and saintly ones will come and meet and the hopes of the heart will be fulfilled.

Eji Sati silvantaa te kahiye,
jenu saahebjisun dhiyaan,
te sati saachaa kahiye,
jene haiye harkh ne maan 6

O momins! The pure saintly ones are those whose attention and thought is towards the Imam. A saint is to be considered true, whose heart is happy and dignified.

Eji Aashaa teni puri padde,
ane puri Gurni vaach;
man ichhaa teni thai,
jugmaa chaali saankh 7

O momins! His hopes have been fulfilled and the promise of the Guide is fulfilled. Whatever was desired in the heart has been fulfilled and the proof is established in the world (through enlightened action)

Eji Nar naari ek chhe,
ane vali jujvaa chhe ghatt;
haalo chaalo ek chhe,
sahu dharamni vaatt 8

O momins! Men and women are one (equal) and there is no difference in their interiors (hearts). On the path of religion the mode of action is the same.

Eji Avichal raaj paamiye,
vali ek mane karie jaanp;
to aagal paadshaahi bhogave,
Gur Shams kahe aapohi aap 9

O momins! Attain the everlasting kingdom and perform single minded remembrance. Then ahead you will experience kingship. Pir Shams speaks spontaneously.

to khoysho bhav ni kamaai 1

O momins! You have obtained the True Path for the salvation of your soul. Speak truth, O believer brothers. If you tell a lie as insignificant as a sesame seed, you will lose the earnings of a lifetime.

Eji Krodh lobh ne vaariyen
abhimaan na kije man;
man maarine musallo kijiyen
to paamiyen Shaah naa darshaan 2

O momins! Shun anger and gread and do not foster pride in your mind. Slaying your mind (carnal desires), transform it into a prayer rug (symbol of devotion), then you will attain the vision of the Imam.

Eji Sat Panth to saacho saach hai
ane sacho te Pir pichhaann;
din chaandrunna pragattiya
jem ravi ugamiyo bhaann 3

O momins! The True Path is always true, and recognise the Pir as true. The light of religion has manifested as the sun in its full splendor.

Eji Jug maanhe thi aandhaaro ttaal she
ane karshe ek -j varann;
athar ved maanhe em bhaankiyaa
bhaai sarve hoyshe te Nabi ne sharann 4

O momins! He will remove the darkness from the world and will make everyone equal. It is said in the stable scripture (athar ved) that everybody will come under the protection of the Prophet.

Eji Nav khand maanhe hal hal-kaar hoyshe
tyaare doyelaa thaashe re din;
tiyaan chaando suraj doye chhipashe
bhaai kampshe tran bhavan 5

O momins! In the nine continents will be be uproar and the days will become arduous. There both the moon and the sun will be hidden and the three worlds will tremble.

Eji Tyaare saaheb aswaari karshe
ane Mahedi dharaawshe naam;
tyaare sarve kurfraan ttaalshe
bhaai paltte sarve jahaan 6

O momins! At that time the Lord will manifest (for the entire world) and will be called Mahdi. At that time he will remove all infidelities and will transform the world.

Eji Savaa laakh varas nu ek parab rachaavshe
tyaare nirmal kare deh;
tyaare Noor-waay firastaa ne hukam thaase
te Noor-nu varsaave meh 7

O momins! He will set up abundance of water to last for one and twenty five thousand years, then he will purify the bodies. At that time the angel Nurvai (luminous) will be commanded who will shower the rain of light.

Eji Tiyaan jakh megh kinar dev aavshe
tiyaan aave paanch, saat, nav, baar;
tiyaan annant karoddi dev kal jug naa more thaashe
tyaare sav ne thaashe didaar 8

O momins! There the spirits jakhs, meghs and kinar will be present. There the five (crores) , seven (crores), nav (crores) and twelve (crores) of the liberated souls (across the 4 eras will be present. There the countless crores of the spirits of the present age will be present. At that time there will be Deedar for all.

Eji Dhol dadaamaa ati uchhava
ane ghar ghar mangal gaay;
tiyaan pujaa tanna fal aal-she
te tiyaan kahiyo nav jaay 9

O momins! The drums and tambourine will sound and there will be be musical merry making in every home. There the rewards of worship will be given out, in an undescribable manner.

Eji Tiyaan dev daannav nu hoyshe pattutaro
ane pujaa na fal paay;
tyaare munivar ni kaaya amar hoyshe
baawaa te duniyaa mari mari jaay 10

O momins! There the believers and the devils will be separated and the believers will attain the fruits of their worship. At that time the bodies of the believers will become immortal and the rest of the world will perish.

Eji Bhanne Pir Imaam Shaah sunno re munivaro
tame kamar baandhi ne thaao hushiyaar;
soh din nahede aaviyo
tene vilambh nahi re lagaar 11

O momins! Sayyed Imam Shah says: O believers listen! Binding your waists, remain vigilant. That day is too close, do not delay the preparations for it.

O brothers! Whoever is embraced by the True Guide (attained the Vision of the True Guide), this person's existence is illumined like the night under the full moon. Through the mouth of the Peer, the Imam is shown (or his understanding/recognition attained).

Ek jire bhaai re paanch naa bandhan bhariyaa sarovar,
Gur binaa kem-j tariye 2

O brothers! The ocean of material existence is full with attachments to the five (vices or sense perceptions). Without the Guide how will you sail across.

Ek jire bhaai re Ishwar Aadam gorakh chelaa,
Gur rudda taarann haar ji 3

O brothers! The Perfect Guide is the saviour of the disciples of Ishwar, Adam and Gorakh.

Ek jire bhaai re aal Bhramaa ni saachi kari jaanno
te aal jugaa jug aaviyaa 4

O brothers! Consider the progeny of Bhramaa as true. This progeny has manifested through ages.

Ek jire bhaai re aal thaki je mukar-j paddiyaa,
tenne gaafale janam haraayaa 5

O brothers! Those who have deviated from this progeny, have through negligence wasted their lives.

Ek jire bhaai re pahelaa Kirtaa jug maanhe
panar karodd jiv,
Siri Nar-sinh nu rup dekhi dhiaayaa 6

O brothers! In the first era of Karta Jug there were 15 crores of souls. They worshipped by observing the form of Sri Nar -sinh.

Ek jire bhaai re dash karooddd jiv aap muraadaa
jenne Gur Nar naa vaayak na maani yaa 7

O brothers! (Out of these), 10 crores were egoistic and they did not follow the guidance of the Guide.

Ek jire bhaai re paanch karodd amraapuri pohotaa,
Gur Bhramaa jine vaayke chaaliyaa 8

O brothers! 5 Crores attained paradise. They followed the guidance of the Gur Bhrama (the Pir).

Ek jire bhaai re bije Tretaa jug maanhe
ekvis karodd jiv
Siri Raam nu rup dekhi ne dhiaayaa 9

O brothers!In the second era of Treta Jug, there were 21 crore souls. They worshipped by observing the form of Sri Ram.

Ek jire bhaai re chaud karodd jiv aap muraadaa
jenne Gur Nar naa vaayak na maaniyaa 10

O brothers! 14 crores were egoistic and did not follow the guidance of the Guide.

Ek jire bhaai re saat karodd amraapuri pohotaa
Gur Vijeshtthann ne vaayke chaaliyaa 11

O brothers! 7 crores reached the eternal abode of paradise. They acted according to the precepts of Gur Vijeshtthan.

karodd jiv,
Siri Kaan nu rup dekhi ne dhiaayaa 12

O brothers! In the third era of Dwapur Jug, there were 27 crores souls. They worshipped by observing the form of Lord Krishna.

O brothers!18 crores were followed their own desires and did not accpet the precepts of the Guide.

O brothers!9 crores attained paradise. They followed the precepts of Gur Vidur Vyas.

O brothers!In the 4th era of Kaljug there were 36 crores of souls. They worshipped observing the form of Sri Naklanki.

O brothers!24 crores fell into utter darkness. The ones who did not follow the guidance of the Gurnar.

O brothers!12 crores attained paradise, they followed the guidance of Pir Sadardeen.

O brother! By asking the Guide earn rewarding deeds. As a result display best colours.

Jire bhaai rang patang e tame raataa,
e rang nechal naahi 3

O brother! You have been colored with a red dye. This dye is not permanent.

Jire bhaai aachhe karo ho anaamat raakho,
Gur vachane nir vaahie 4

O brother! Act purely and guard what has been entrusted to you. Proceed along according to the Farman of the Guide.

Through patient mouth speak sweet words. This is a sign of the adornment/beauty of the heart.

O brother! A selfish person loses others. Such a sinner is blind and foolish.

Jire bhaai Satgur beheddi sudhaa kije,
to saache thi sudh jo paahie 7

O brother! Make the boat of the True Guide genuine. Then through the truth you will attain proper understanding.

Jire bhaai tran jug maanhe sudhaa jaano,
aaj kal bhaave aaraadho 8

O brother! During the past three Yugas this was the very truth. In the present age serve/worship with devotion.

Jire bhaai ehi pastaavo manmaanhi rehese,
hansaa sat na kiyaa 9

O brother! Such regrets will remain in the mind/heart, for the soul that did not live according to the truth.

Jire bhaai amia maahaaras boleaa
Gur Sohodev,
saami raajaa aagal hose 10

Aapo matte hari pargatte,
prite kareo aanhi srevaa - ho jire 8

When the ego will die, the Lord will manifest, with love perform His service.

Aad ante hari ek chhe,
jaanno mursid-ni sevaa - ho jire 9

Since the beginning until the end, there is one Lord, (with this awareness) understand the Master's serve/worship.

Asraafil to rang hay,
dil maanhe kaayam dev - ho jire 10

Israfil is but a color (form), whereas in the heart the Lord is everpresent.

Jiv nu mul vichaartaa,
pachhe bhaai aatam bhev - ho jire 11

By contemplating the worth of your soul, it's mystery will unfold.

Sat Gur vinaa avar na dhiaaie,
jo bhanne paachei ved - ho jire 12

Do not follow anyone else besides the True Guide, even if he/she has studied the five Vedas.

Gur-e sat rehenni vataaveaa,
kadik hove bhav paar - ho jire 13

The Guide has shown you the Path. Someday you will get salvation.

Sat Gur charanne chinta baandhie,
laie vivek vichaar - ho jire 14

Focus your attention towards the feet of the True Guide and obtain wisdom.

Pinddhto kaachi kaayaa,
chhodd chale sarve sansaar - ho jire 15

The body is fragile and unstable, the whole world will leave it behind.

Ahonis kirat kijie,
Sat Gur vachane vevaar - ho jire 16

Day and night perform good deeds according to commands of the True Guide.

Ginaan ami maahaaras pijie,
avar ami sarve fandaa - ho jire 17

Drink the nectar of Ginans, all other nectars are traps.

Sab gatt saaheb raajo lijie,
jesaa punam chandaa - ho jire 18

In every heart perceive the presence of the Kingly Lord, like the full moon.

Ishvar, Bhramaa san mukh haay,
to vich pavan chalaae - ho jire 19

Lord Ishvar (the Ruler) and the Lord bhrama (the Creator) are in front of you. Then between them have your breaths (Pir Shah).

Preme prite hari lijie,
jikare kareo umaayo - ho jire 20

Through loving devotion obtain the Lord. Supplicate with Zikr.

Jikare jalaayaa je momanaa,
tenne tajeaa vikaar - ho jire 21

Those momins who have attached themselves to Zikr, have abandoned all evils.

Nar Mahammad Shaah sat boleaa,
girabh ttale to bhav paar - ho jire 22

Sayyed Nar Muhammad Shah has spoken the truth. If pride is shunned then freedom is attained.

Pir Aadam Shaah ji paar karo beddaa ... ...

O true guide! Please take my boat to the other side. O spiritual master! Take my boat to the other side in this life.

Eji Aai avidat taandhin nabhidhat,
kiyaa dile Gur ji avagunn meraa - paar karo 1

O true master! Such difficulty has befallen that it is very hard to pass each day. O spiritual master! What is my fault that it has taken so long?

Eji Jal binaa min, kamal binaa madhukar,
lochan neynu Gur ji, umav teraa - paar karo 2

O spiritual master! Just as fish (cannot survive) without water and bumblebee ( cannot live) without lotus flower, similarly my eyes are eager to see you.

Eji Vinanti karun, Shaah-de Nand-naadho aage,
karo kirpaa Gur ji, biyaa karo feraa - paar karo 3

O spiritual master! I implore before the Imam the most generous. O Guide please have mercy on me and save me from the cycles of birth and death.

Eji Pir mast, mast Huseni,
tunhi apaar Gur ji, ant na teraa - paar karo 4

O spiritual master! Sayyid Mast (intoxicated) Hussainy implores that O Guide! You are infinite and infathomable.
