AKU Conference: The Worlds of the Indian Ocean - 2009-02-21

The Aga Khan University is working on a curriculum that focuses on the needs of people who share the vast Indian Ocean.
Dr Rafique Keshavjee, East Africa head of academic planning, said the university will do this by harnessing ideas from an ongoing five-day conference in Nairobi.
The conference is dubbed “The Worlds of the Indian Ocean — connecting the past to the future.”
The conference is the first in a series that aims at engaging people of the Indian Ocean to study and discuss issues affecting them.

Aga Khan University graduates 180 students - 2009-01-21

University president Firoz Rasul, urged the group to give back to their home communities.

Dr Firoz Rassul, the president of AKU together with the guest of honour, Mr. Joseph G. M. Massaqoi, Director UNESCO warmly congratulated the graduants.

AKU Dental Clinic opens in Nairobi - 2009-01-22
Posted January 25th, 2009 by heritageHis Excellency, Ross Hynes, the Canadian High Commissioner in Nairobi , officially opened the new dental clinic in the Doctors Plaza of the Aga Khan University Hospital , Nairobi . He stated with satisfaction that donors in Canada had funded the "state of the art" equipment for the dental clinic.
