Je suis profondément heureux que cette exposition puisse se tenir au Burkina Faso, parce que les projets burkinabés qui ont reçu le Prix Aga Khan d’Architecture, chacun individuellement et tous les trois ensemble, sont d’une importance capitale.

Actionnaire principal dans le capital social de cette société avec 52% des actions, son Altesse est allé toucher du doigt les réalités du travail dans ce complexe à travers des échanges et des visites guidées.

Arrivé au Burkina Faso le 29 juillet 2005 aux premières heures de l?après-midi pour un séjour de 48 heures, le prince Karim Aga Khan a été reçu par le président du Faso, puis par le Premier ministre.

Thanks to its privatisation this year, the company is aiming at a 3.5 billion CFA francs business turnover this year.
Set up in 1966, Air Burkina took off the following year with a 35 million CFA francs share capital of which 56 percent was held by the state, 17 percent was owned by SOGETRAF (a subsidiary company of Air France) and 17 percent by the private sector in Burkina Faso.

Posted July 9th, 2009 by heritagePresident Blaise Compaoré of Burkina Faso and His Highness the Aga Khan, Imam (spiritual leader) of the Ismaili Muslims and Chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), today launched the First Microfinance Agency (Premiere Agence de Microfinance (PAMF) in Ouagadougou.
In the coming weeks, PAMF will commence operations in the Banfora region in association with SN Sosuco, one of the country's largest employers.

Aga Khan begins visit to Burkina Faso - AGA KHAN BEGINS A TWO-DAY VISIT TO BURKINA FASO - 2005-07-30
Posted July 9th, 2009 by heritageThe spiritual leader of Ismailia Muslims, Aga Khan, arrived here Friday afternoon to begin a two-day visit of Burkina Faso.
The Aga Khan, who heads the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) will on Saturday co-launch with President Blaise Compaori the first Micro-finance Agency.
The objective of the network's new initiative is to fight poverty by making the mainstream banking sector to offer financial services to impoverished persons and the down-trodden.
