The wedding at the prince's Aiglemont estate in the Oise department north of Paris was conducted by Dalil Boubakeur, rector
of the Paris mosque. The prince, 49th hereditary Imam of the Ismaili community was born in Geneva on December 13, 1936, son of Prince Aly Khan and Princess Joan Aly Khan.

In separate religious and civil ceremonies Saturday, the Aga Khan wed Gabriele zu Leiningen at his Aiglemont estate in this tiny town, 25 miles north of Paris near Chantilly, his office said in a statement. It was the second marriage for both.
The rector of the Mosque of Paris, Dalil Boubakeur, performed the religious ceremony, and the mayor of Gouvieux, Patrice Marchand, performed the civil marriage, a statement said.

La begum, de origen francés y cuyo nombre de soltera era Yvette Blanche Labrousse, se casó en 1944 con el sultán Mohamed Shah Aga Khan, abuelo del príncipe Karim, actual Aga Khan. Fue la cuarta y última esposa del que fue 48 jefe espiritual de los ismaelitas, una poderosa secta de musulmanes chiitas que grupa a más de 15 millones de creyentes en todo el mundo.

The Aga Khan, 66, a British citizen, is the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community of about 20 million followers.
In a Dec. 23 decision, the court said it would also rule on any financial maintenance due during the divorce proceedings, the statement quoted the Aga Khan's French lawyer Laurent Chambaz as saying.

The 9-4 second favorite, trained by Alain de Royer Dupre, swept a length clear of 25-1 shot Mubtaker, with 13-8 market leader High Chaparral coming third for the second year running.
Dalakhani, the French Derby winner, needed all his noted speed and stamina to overcome a poor draw and desperately soft ground to add the Arc to his earlier success.
Soumillon, 22-year-old Belgian, was given a tremendous reception by the 40,000-crowd, and reached the unsaddling enclosure in tears.
