Mr President, your unfaltering encouragement has enabled us to bring the Aga Khan University into being. To give the first private University in Pakistan your support was a bold initiative and one to which I wish to offer the fullest recognition.

Seattle, USA, 4 March 2019 - The University of Washington today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Aga Khan University to codify partnership activities already underway and to leverage complementary strengths to further expand research, service and education in low- and middle-income countries.

Pakistan is set to launch Rs500 billion program to tackle the consequences of the country’s high burden of stunting and childhood nutrition.

“We develop the largest public sector project in Pakistan’s history focused on human nutrition,” Special Advisor to the PM on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza said.

KARACHI:

The Aga Khan University (AKU) has been placed among the top 100 universities for clinical medicine and the top 200 for public health in the world.

The rankings were published by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as ShanghaiRanking, which is an annual publication of worldwide university rankings.

In ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019, AKU is the only Pakistani university featured among the top 500 institutes for clinical medicine and public health.
