The Aga Khan, Mowlana Shah Karim and Prime Minister Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto at the Seminar on the role of an Academic Health Sciences Centre in a Developing Country which was held on March 19, 1989 at the AKU Campus. This seminar was also attended by former Director General of the World Health Organisation, Dr. Halfdan Mahler and other leading health education specialists from throughout the world.

LAHORE: The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) on Tuesday organised another session of ‘Meet the Expert’ during which conservationists and architects briefed participants on conservation methodologies of the picture wall of Lahore Fort that also happens to be the world’s largest picture wall, Pakistan Today has learnt.

WCLA had invited students and faculty members from all universities of Lahore which have architecture, history, fine arts and social sciences departments. Almost 200 participants were present in the session which was held here at the summer palace of Lahore Fort.

Karachi, Pakistan, 15 December 2017 - The Aga Khan University’s Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME), a state-of-the-art facility for technology-based learning for health professionals, was inaugurated today by His Highness the Aga Khan, Chancellor of AKU.

The aim of the centre is to transform education of health professionals through the use of simulation and virtual reality technology to develop knowledge and skills, a statement quoted the CIME director Dr Charles Docherty as saying.
