Bishkek, October 18 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev met with visiting Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, the Kyrgyz President's press office reports.

At the beginning of the meeting President Atambayev awarded Prince Karim Aga Khan IV the Danaker Order for public activities and the implementation of socio-economic projects in Kyrgyzstan. The President stressed that Kyrgyzstan appreciates the work of the Aga Khan Development Network and attaches great importance to further strengthening of cooperation with the Organization.

"Thank you for your support and social activities for the implementation of important socio-economic projects in Kyrgyzstan in agriculture, education and health care. I express gratitude on behalf of all the people of Kyrgyzstan," Almazbek Atambayev said. The President also expressed his gratitude to Prince Karim Aga Khan IV for the assistance of constant support of ethnic Kyrgyz in Pamir of Afghanistan.

Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, from his part, thanked President Almazbek Atambayev for the warm reception and presenting high state awards. "I am happy to return to Kyrgyzstan, every time I come to this country, I feel very happy. I am very proud to have received this state award from your hands," he said.

During the meeting, President Almazbek Atambayev and Prince Karim Aga Khan IV discussed the issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Aga Khan, as well as prospects for further cooperation.
