5th Graduation ceremony of AKU - 2009-01-21
2009, January 21: Aga Khan University held its 5th Graduation ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the graduation of 185 students in the fields of Medecine and Nursing. [Photo Heritage] Dr Firoz Rassul, the president of AKU together with the guest of honour, Mr. Joseph G. M. Massaqoi, Director UNESCO warmly congratulated the graduants. AKU is planning to establish a new Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Arusha, Tanzania along with a second Faculty of Health Sciences in Nairobi, Kenya. This will be the first private sector university in East Africa to create a full fledged Faculty of Health Sciences offering undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Medecine, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.
