His Highness Aga Khan Kerim IV together with his brother His Highness Prince Amin Aga Khan have arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Tanaev has met him at the airport. A ceremony of laying foundation of the University of Central Asia took place in Naryn today. Opening this event, Naryn Governor Askar Salymbekov said Kyrgyz President Askar Akaev and His Highness Aga Khan, whose fund financing the project, could not attend the ceremony because of weather conditions.

BISHKEK (TCA) — The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Aga Khan Foundation and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Kyrgyzstan have joined forces to support the most vulnerable households in Chon Alai district of Osh oblast in south Kyrgyzstan affected by the earthquakes of May 2017, the Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic said on June 28.

Spiritual leader of Ismailits Prince Aga Khan IV visited Osh, the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan, where familiarized with a school named after him. The school was build in the frame of Aga Khan Fund?s educational programme and trains about 300 children. They study on the basis of copyright plan and international methodical teaching. During the visit, Prince Aga Khan have got acquainted with sport-hall, computer class, teaching-resource centre as well as participated in presentation of project?s exhibition, implementing by Aga Khan Fund in high mountainous regions of Osh oblast.

International conference entitled ?Development strategy of health-resort zone of Issykkul region? has finished in Cholponata. President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akaev, Prince Aga Khan Kerim IV, Prince Amin Aga Khan, Prime Minister Nikolai Tanaev, Head of the JICA Office in Kyrgyzstan Nakano Satoshi attended the conference.

His Majesty Prince Aga Khan the 4th with his brother Prince Amin Aga Khan arrived in Kyrgyzstan with official visit. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nikolay Tanayev met them at the airport.The Prince Aga Khan and Askar Akayev visit Naryn town, where the ceremony of laying of the foundation stone of University of Central Asia will take place. The head University will be situated in Tajik city of Horog. This private, noncommercial high society University will serve the region with its 25 million people.
