Additional notes to “Evolution and re-evaluation of the Ismaili Du’ā"

This is an addition to the article on the evolution of the Ismaili Du'a after the Declaration of the Great Resurrection in Alamut, highlighting key themes like the Vision of the Imam (Shāh jo Didār) and the continuity of the Imamate. This article examines the evolution of Ismaili Du’ā and associated ceremonies, focusing on changes stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and broader historical shifts. Central practices like the handshake ritual (Panjā), representing the Vision of the Imam, and the consumption of Abe Safa (Holy Water), symbolizing divine Noor, faced significant alterations. These rituals, traditionally signifying deep spiritual meanings within Ismaili worship, were temporarily modified for health protocols, with the community anticipating a restoration post-pandemic. However, ongoing shifts towards a de-emphasis of esoteric symbolism and potential reintegration of Namaz highlight a complex interplay between tradition and adaptation, raising questions about the continuity of Ismaili spiritual heritage.
