PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni on Monday held discussions with the Aga Khan, Imam (spiritual leader) of the Ismaili Muslims, at his farm in Kisozi, Gomba County in Mpigi district.Museveni and the Aga Khan, a big time multi-sectoral investor in Uganda, discussed ways of promoting the tourism industry to further enhance country's national economic development, a statement issued by the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) said yesterday. The spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslims, the Aga Khan, arrived in the country yesterday for talks with President Yoweri Museveni.The Aga Khan, who flew in at 2:20pm on his private jet, was received at Entebbe International Airport by State ministers for regional co-operation Col. Kahinda Otafiire and for investment Sam Kutesa.
The Ismaili leader, who was accorded a red-carpet reception, boarded a helicopter to Museveni?s private ranch at Kisozi, where the two were scheduled to hold talks. He will be here for two days.

The Spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim Community, His Highness the Aga Khan, arrived in Uganda yesterday.The Aga Khan was received at Entebbe International Airport by the Minister of State for Investment Sam Kutesa and of Regional Co-operation Kahinda Otafiire.
The Monitor Board Chairman Dr Martin Aliker and officials of the Aga Khan Foundation were also at the airport.
The Aga Khan and his entourage boarded a waiting military helicopter for a scheduled meeting with President Yoweri Museveni.
Officials of the Aga Khan Foundation said the meeting was scheduled for yesterday.
