Astana, KAZINFORM. President of Kazakhstan Received Aga Khan. Today President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received the distinguished public figure Prince Karim Aga Khan in Astana. The two discussed issues of regional development, particularly, activities of Central Asia University that researches problems of mountainous regions. Campuses of the university are situated in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The education is paid, however, the special commission considers financial conditions of each student, and grants privileges if one deserves.

His Highness the Aga Khan accompanied by the Minister for Education, Ms. Shamsha Berkimbayeva, visited Taldykorgan region of Almaty Oblast to view potential sites for the Kazakh campus of the University of Central Asia.
