KIBAKI, AGA KHAN HOLD TALKS - 2003-02-17
President Mwai Kibaki and the visiting spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslims, Aga Khan held talks at State House on Monday. The Presidential Press Service said in a statement that the two held lengthy discussions but did not divulge the particular issues on the agenda. Those present during the talks were the Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry Peter ole Nkuraiya and the Chief of Protocol George Owuor.

Posted February 25th, 2010 by heritageHis Highness the Aga Khan, Imam (spiritual leader) of the Ismaili Muslims was today received by President Mwai Kibaki at State House, Nairobi. The two leaders held wide-ranging discussions covering the implementation of previously articulated and new expansion plans for the agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Kenya specifically and Eastern Africa and the Indian Ocean region more generally. These include investments of US$ 40 million in the health sector and US$ 30 million in the education sector.
