- GULF NEWS, Dubai: The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, is to open its first representative office here on May 4. The new office is located at the Oud Metha Office complex and will be opened by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Assistant Under- secretary at the Ministry of Health and Director of the Sharjah Medical District.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center on Tuesday formally announced a goal to collaborate on global health programs with Aga Khan University, which operates medical schools and hospitals throughout the developing world.

Dr. Gary Gilliland, president and director of Fred Hutch, and Firoz Rasul, president of Aga Khan University, signed a memorandum of understanding on March 5 outlining their intentions to develop a five-year relationship to advance cancer research and training and help build an improved medical infrastructure.

The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, is to open its first representative office here on May 4. The new office is located at the Oud Metha Office complex and will be opened by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health and Director of the Sharjah Medical District.
Two public health awareness programmes, one each in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, have been organised on May 4 and May 5, in connection with the opening of the office.
