Eji Maal khajinaa bohotaj bhariyaa,
us men nahin kuchh teraa;
rang mahol sab bhul jaaesi,
jangal hoesi dderaa;
kiyaa nind sove man meraa
shaahaa samarann ki vellaa,
mawlaa samarann ki vellaa
kiyaa nind sove man meraa 1

Eji Sir par kaal fire sant saadhu,
ab tun chet savellaa;
is vellaa maanhe jo tun bhul jaaesi,
to bahot khaaesi feraa - kiyaa nind sove 2

Eji Aa re sansaar sakall hae jutthaa,
mat jaanno hae meraa;
chhorr bharam tame baraham vichaaro,
to khoj antar ghatt teraa - kiyaa nind sove. 3

Eji Jot parakaash lije ghatt andar,
Gur binaa ghor andheraa;
kahe Pir Gulamaali Shaah samarann karle,
samaj samaj man meraa - kiyaa nind sove. 4

MAL KHAJINA BAHOTAJ BHARIYA
Pir Gulmalishah

Things and treasure are in abundance, but nothing out of it is thine. Lust and palaces thou shalt forget: thy abode shall be (in a) jungle.

O my mind! (mind i.e. embodied) thou art still sleeping in slumber of ignorance! This is the time to remember Shah; this is the time to remember Mowla. ...1

Refrain: O my mind thou art still sleeping!

Over thy head there hovereth death. O saint; wake up it is dawn (or the right time). Forgetst if thee (to remember God) at this hour, thou shalt suffer many a rebirth. ...2
