US GIVES $50,000 FOR QUAKE VICTIMES - 2004-03-05

ISLAMABAD: United States Ambassador to Pakistan Nancy Powell has announced a donation of $50,000 for the earthquake victims in the Northern Areas. From this grant money, the Aga Khan Development Network would provide blankets and tents to the homeless families. The Focus organisation of Aga Khan Network would provide logistic services to provide relief to the victims of the earthquake.

United States Ambassador to Pakistan Nancy Powell has announced a donation of $50,000 for the earthquake victims in the Northern Areas.
?We are very concerned about the health and welfare of the hundreds of families whose homes have been damaged by the earthquake in northern Pakistan. We are pleased to provide this disaster relief assistance, which we hope will help the affected families,? she said.
From this grant money, the Aga Khan Development Network would provide blankets and tents to the homeless families.
