Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the Aga Khan Development Network Resident Representative Mr Anil Ishani at Serena Hotel, yesterday, Mr Khaemba said the opening of Aga Khan University, in Nairobi, would address the health staff shortage in the country, especially for doctors in special fields. The luncheon was hosted by the network's resident representative Anil Ishani and attended by Princess Zahra Aga Khan.

Varsity to open more campuses - 2004-07-20
Posted February 25th, 2010 by heritageThe Aga Khan University will have a permanent presence in the region, it has been announced.The president, Mr Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, said the chancellor and the board of trustees had decided that the university would have campuses in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
'The Advanced Nursing Studies programme in East Africa has already established a solid foundation with over 500 students enrolled, of which 30 per cent come from the Government,' Mr Kassim-Lakha said.
