hare e sabhaagaa is duniyaa de vich kiyaa ghin aaeyaa
e kiyaa ghin vaesee tu(n) naale sabhaagaa....................1

O fortunate one, what did you bring into this world? And what will you take with you, fortunate one?

The fortunate one refers to a disciple of Peer Shamsh.

hare e sabhaagaa naa(n)go tu(n) aaviyo naa(n)go tu(n) vaesee
e kuchh na nibhasi naale sabhaagaa...........................2

O fortunate one, you came naked, and naked you will depart. Nothing will stay safely with you, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa naa(n)go tu(n) aaveeyo naa(n)go tu(n) vaesee
e kar ghin vannaj vepaar sabhaagaa...........................3

O fortunate one, you came naked, and naked you will depart. Do some good business for yourself, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa per pasaare piyaa vich choke
e kaal aave ddarade sabhaagaa................................4

O fortunate one, as you lie on the bier with limbs stretched out in fear, death will come to you, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa dehi teri khaakh rulesi
e kidde khaavann maas sabhaagaa..............................5

O fortunate one, your body will mingle with the dust, and the worms will eat your flesh, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa dehi teri upar ghaa(n)s jamesi
e gaaeyaann chugasi ghaa(n)s sabhaagaa.......................6

O fortunate one, over your body the grass will grow, and the cattle will eat the grass, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa jenu(n) de kaarann tu(n) kudd kamaave
se naa nibhasi naale sabhaagaa...............................7

O fortunate one, those for whose sake you practise falsehood will not stay with you, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa ta(n)tiyaa(n) tha(n)bhiyaa(n) tisi gale lagasi
kukaa(n) kero na daad sabhaagaa..............................8

O fortunate one, when the burning bars are laid on their throats, there will be no one to hear their shrieks and cries, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa ral bharaave vadiyaa(n) kiti
e hoe havaale so har de sabhaagaa............................9

O fortunate one, when your brothers have gathered to bid farewell, it will be transferred to God's custody, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa swaamee raajo jab lekaa(n) ma(n)gasi
jo lete so bhar de sabhaagaa................................10

O fortunate one, when the royal Master demands your account, then pay for what you have taken, fortunate one.

hare e sabhaagaa e ginaan mahaaras peer shamash boleyaa
e sachaa lagasi paar sabhaagaa..............................11
