February 13, 1913 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III wrote an article printed in 'The Times of India', Bombay, 14 February 1913, and a brief summary was also printed in 'The Times', London.
In the article, Mowlana Sultan Mohamed Shah talked about how the Indian Muslims were disturbed by the recent events in the Muslim World and how the Muslims of Turkey might be helped. He suggested that the Sultans and the Ministers should solve the question of war and peace. He continued that, 'It is a question of life and death. Everything in life can wait. But when life itself is face to face with hunger and want, there is nothing but immediate relief or death.' (Aziz; 403)
