The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. on the occasion of its Partnership Walk in Houston on October 19, 2003 and the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. is a nondenominational organization that helps people in developing countries find solutions to the problems of poor health, inadequate education, and low income without regard to religious, racial, or ethnic background.

They held the annual Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala at the Waldorf this past Tuesday night. The theme was The Magic of Mardi Gras. Underwritten by Rolex Watch USA and chaired by Muffie Potter Aston, they raised more than $1.3 million. General Chair was Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, daughter of the late Rita Hayworth whose affliction with this terrible disease inspired her daughter’s monumental fundraising work.
