2015, April 6: Government of India announced the visit of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan to India from Monday, 6th April, 2015 to Saturday, 11th April, 2015.

President Atambayev and His Highness the Aga Khan met in Brussels this evening, as part of an ongoing dialogue and partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Aga Khan Development Network.

PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete yesterday granted a charter to the Aga Khan University (AKU) that will allow it to fully operate in the country after conforming to the Tanzania Commission for Universities' (TCU) preconditions.

Today February 15 marks the birthday of our beloved Mata Salamat Om Habibeh Aga Khan wife our 48th Imam Shah Sultan Muhammad Shah. They were married in Geneva on October 9th, 1944 under her maiden name Yvette Blanche Labrousse.

I am pleased to inform you that this year the Aga Khan University celebrates another milestone, the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of AKU in East Africa.

TORONTO, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- China's active role in cross- cultural exchange and trade in the 9th century is explored here in The Lost Dhow exhibition that runs until April 26, 2015.

This follow-up project particularly focuses on the records of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan (1966-1977) and of Poul Hartling (1978-1985).

For seven years, exhibitions in Asia and Europe have showcased treasures owned by the Aga Khan, the spiritual head of an estimated 10 million to 15 million Shia Ismaili Muslims world-wide.

Deforestation is one of the great challenges of our times. Scientists estimate about half of all the forests that once covered the Earth are gone. The United Nations Environment Programme tells us that 13 million hectares of forest are destroyed around the globe every year.

Birth anniversary of Sir Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan III, the 48th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims is being observed on Sunday (today). Sir Aga Khan III was born in Karachi in 1877 and dedicated his entire life to the cause of Islam.

His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan sent a Holy Talika (special communication to His Jamats) all around the world that His first son Prince Rahim and wife Prince Salwa were expecting their first child. The Aga Khan wanted Ismailis everywhere to share in the happiness of both the families.

Prince Karim Aga Khan, leader of the Ismaili Muslims hailed the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai for his efforts in reconstruction of Afghanistan.

The Site: The Ismaili Centre Toronto shares a site with the Aga Khan Museum. The two buildings are united by a 6.8 hectare park.

Prince Amyn, brother of His Highness the Aga Khan, celebrated his 77th birthday at the Opening of the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto which is coincidentally located at 77 Wynford Drive in the Don Mills area of Toronto. Prince Amyn played a major role in the building of the Aga Khan Museum.
