Aga Khan III Event - 1919-08-08

August 8, 1919 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III sent another letter to 'the Times', London, with regards to the suffrage of Indian women. The article, printed on 11 August 1919, described the attitude of the Southborough Report on the question of women's suffrage. It disagrees with Lord Southborough's opinion in that the great majority of Indian women of the well-to-do classes are not in seclusion. ([1] 645)
