In the remote reaches of Pakistan's Himalayas, the one-time independent principality of Hunza was recently reacquainted with the ostentatious luxury of its past: Prince Karim Aga Khan, Hunza's Imam and patron, had come to inaugurate Baltit Fort, an architectural masterpiece, symbolising the area's heritage and culture. The festivities, beginning in late September, lasted for nearly a month.'It's very impressive!' exclaimed the Prince as he walked down Baltit Fort's great stairway.
