Some content types have a checkbox for exhibits: categories, people, place, event, history event, news event When an above item has enough linked content to warrant an exhibit, it will appear in the Exhibit section. Currently, the exhibit section will not take into account the checkbox and will list all, but eventually, views will be created so that only items marked to be exhibited will appear in the exhibit section.

Ex: If it's an image of Princess Zahra posing with a bunch of ismailis, the image should go in the Princess Zahra album and in the group photo album. If it's a photo of Prince Amyn giving a speech at an event, the image should go in the prince amyn, civil event, and speech albums. Get it? Your Job: 2006 News * Click on News -> 2006 Here, I have placed all the images that were in ismaili.net's timeline, but not in any album. * Your job is to open http://ismaili.net/timeline/2006.html in one window, And to open http://ismaili.nixx.ca/drupal5/album/37 in another window. * The image titles are the same as the filenames in old heritage So, open the first image in drupal, click edit find the same image in the timeline, and copy over the caption into the drupal site. Try to fill any other fields/categories that you find useful You may change the name, but not too much otherwise you'll have a hard time finding the images for your news items. Ex: you can change 20061002zahraaward02 into 2006-10-02-zahra-award-02 You are allowed to place one image in more than one album. press the ctrl-key andselect all the relevant albums for each image I have started doing this, that is why you will find the same image in different albums. * When choosing categories, be careful of the People and Place selectors. You must create the Person and the Places first in create content -> Person, or create content -> place beforehand. You should just choose a person or a place, you shouldn't enter new ones in that field. When Choosing Countries, Cities, General Subjects, it's okay to enter new values in those fields. * When you are done with these, I'll transfer visit albums. The numbers below represent an image number from the SCREENSHOTS album To Start, click on an image (like the random portrait) to see the Album Admin menu in a box on the left side. To create an album 1- choose submit, 2- Fill the Form, Choose the Album name and its place in the Album hierarchy, 3- Select the checkbox and submit, To Edit an album or its contents in bulk: 4- Select the album and Go to this view: 5- Select the checkbox of each item to be modified. Here, I'm changing the parent album for this album - Don't forget to click submit when done editing To Use an image 6- You need to know its nid number. Go to this menu item to find out, 7- Find your Image and note down its image id, 8- To include an image, write acidfree:nid between square brackets. 9- Here's the result: Use this method for including if you need to add many images inside a text. Otherwise, just attach one image as usual.

There are a few ways to create image galleries. - The grid view seems like a good simple option, but does not provide previous/next links. (See all images link in admin menu) - Since views does not support categories yet, it is not easy to make a grid view for browsing each gallery (we should normally make a view for the gallery container) - News Event and Person nodes should also have a way to display linked images in a grid. They should have a way to display each linked content type in its own section.. there may be a way to place many views in one node. Read about this on frupal.org. - Acidfree should let us create more user friendly galleries of images and of videos, and I like the fact that Acidfree uses the filemanager to limit the size of folders. I was worries about the image module dumping all pics and thumbnails in one image folder in the drupal installation.
