Musharraf praises Aga Khan’s role in development-2005-05-31

The Ismaeli sect’s spiritual leader Prince Karim Aga Khan met President General Pervez Musharraf here on Monday to exchange views on various issues, particularly the developmental projects started by the Aga Khan Foundation in the country.

Musharraf praised the foundation’s contribution to national development and said the government held in high esteem the foundation’s contribution to the development of the Northern Areas. The Aga Khan lauded Pakistan’s economic development, saying the country had witnessed stable economic development under Musharraf. Later, the president hosted a banquet to honour his guest.
